With a gun in your hand

Sooo I wasn't too sure about this outfit this morning, but me knowing me I knew I'd learn to love it, and after looking at these pictures I do.  Thanks, past me!  The reason for my doubt was, as I said the last time I wore these pants a few days ago, they look a bit like pyjamas, and the baggy, silk material of the top only adds to that.  The materials work very well together, yes, but so do a pair of matching pyjamas, so... Y'know what I'm saying?

Black leather jacket & studded flatforms: TOPSHOP | Lilac t-shirt: RIVER ISLAND | Stripey pants: ZARA

Saying that, I think they do look bloody good together, as in, for daytime wear.  No bed included.  I think the reason I felt reassured is because of the addition of the leather jacket, and then the studded shoes.  They really helped to toughen the whole look up, y'know?  Lilac can be a hard colour to wear for somone like myself who isn't really into girlie colours, and pastel lilac is definitely one of those.  However, when worn with black and these pants which are actually pretty boyish, lilac is working pretty damn well for me and now I want to wear it more often.  Plus, I got the top for £15 in the sale, sooo I couldn't say no really.
Tonight is being spent watching 'The Voice' followed by 'Britain's Got Talent in my jimjams with an Indian takeaway.  Don't hate me because you ain't me!
Hope you're all have a laaaavely weekend.

Wishful Wednesday

1. Striped crossover trousers £25.99 ZARA | 2. Number 86 tee £20 TOPSHOP | 3. Casual stripe shirt £25 TOPSHOP | 4. Shift dress with drop waist £45 ASOS | 5. Harness mesh bralet £22 TOPSHOP | 6. Denim gilét £40 TOPMAN

1. I have white and black ones very similar to these and I can't get enough of those, so it only makes sense to get the blue ones, right?
2. A very similar situation to #1, I have the white version of this, and most recently the black.  In fact I wore the black one in yesterday's outfit post, in which I mentioned 'I'd be snapping up the blue one once it came in stock', aaaaaand today it came in stock.  It will be mine my friends, all in good time.  All in good time.
3. Gahhh I'm fully embracing the whole dressing like a boy thing at the moment, so this shirt would be awesome in my wardrobe.  Worn with a black leather skirt?  Pleeease!
4. How flattering is this dress?  The shape is perrrfect, I adore the neckline.
5. Under a sheer white t-shirt with some black skinny jeans and biker boots, need I say more?
6. A summer essential is a denim gilet, I'd say, so why don't have one...?

Pyjama Trend

Blue coat: RIVER ISLAND | Black top & stripey pants: ZARA | Grey beanie hat: TOPMAN | Black studded flatform trainers & red lipstick: TOPSHOP

Ever wondered how you'd adapt your pyjama pants to daytime wear?  No, me neither.  But now I know.  Not that these are actual pyjamas (well I hope not or else they were very expensive pyjamas), but that trend's been round for a while now.  Y'know, the one where fashionistas wearing clothes which look exactly like pyjamas outside of the house and somehow making it look cool?  Yeah yeah, that one.  It's not showing any sign of going away either seeing as Marc Jacobs took a bow for his latest Louis Vuitton collection in actual jammies.  I mean, if he's doing it, then I'm doing it, buuut maybe not quite so extreme.  Except for the especially lazy days, maybe then I will.

I haven't tried the trend before, and I wasn't intending to when I saw these pants on Saturday, I just liked them, realising they looked like nightwear came afterwards.  I knew as soon as I saw them that they'd look awesome with these new shoes I got (right before buying the pants, yep) and daaaamn was I right.  I didn't want to wear anything but a simple top to keep the look as casual and effortless as possible, so this loose knit one was the perfect choice.  Add the beanie from Topman and some bright red touches and we've got one cool ass look which I am now obsessed with.  This is the start of something new for my style, I can feel it.
What do you think of these pants, would you?  Or will you be sticking to your jeans?  These ones are definitely a lot more comfortable, I can tell you that much.
I'm finally back blonde, yayyy!  You might not know seeing as the last outfit I posted on here was with my orange hair, but yep, I got it out in the end.  Don't get me wrong, being an orange head was awesome and fun, but if the box says it washes out after a while, then I expect it to wash out, kapeesh?
How've you been?  It's been aaaages since I've properly posted, so a catch up is well needed!  I've been good and am still enjoying my tattooing apprenticeship, make sure you keep me in mind if you're planning on getting a tattoo, wink wink.  You'll be waiting a while mind, but it'll be worth it!

Weekly Wishlist

1. Blue studded flatform trainers £65 TOPSHOP | 2. Aztec jacquard shirt £45 TOPSHOP | 3. Pencil ring £16 ASOS | 4. Black sheer mesh panel skirt £25 RIVER ISLAND | 5. Blue checked shirt £29.99 ZARA | 6. Pin stripe skater dress £35 ASOS | 7. Fishnet sleeve midi dress £24.99 MISSGUIDED

1. I CANNOT DEAL WITH HOW COOL THESE ARE OK BYE.
2. Out of everything on my wishlist this week, I've got to say this is my favourite (just).  It was love at first sight for me.  The pattern, the colours, the shape... Perfect!  It's an adrogynous piece so I'd go all out and team it with some boyfriend jeans and Converse.  Best- no, worst thing is, there's a matching skirt too which I saw yesterday.  NOW I MUST HAVE BOTH.  Please, please, oh please, get in my wardrobe.  No, really.
3. Howww cuh-uuute is this ring?  Very apt too seeing as I spend half of my life drawing at the moment.  Want!
4. I'm really digging all the sheer mesh panels on clothes at the moment (thanks Alexander Wang), this skirt is really cool and sexy and perfect for summer when worn with a cropped tee/cami vest.
5. Daaaaaamn this is one sexy shirt.  The colours are right up my street, let's all just take a moment to imagine this with some skin-tight leather pants and blue hi-tops (see #1).  Yep, I am there.  I am so there.
6. I saw this dress last night and actually really like it.  I say 'actually' because it's a bit girlie for my style, but I can only imagine how fit it would look with my arm tattoos (once I get them, that is...) and some red lipstick.  Ergh, be mine, BE MINE NOWWWWWW.
7. Sexy black dress with the cool, sports luxe feel which is always huge in summer seasons.  Need I say more?

P.S. My blogging mojo is slowly but surely coming back, bare with me!

Turtle neck

I cannae belieeeve England is showing no signs of getting warmer.  It's March, I'm not really being unreasonable am I?  I think three months into the year is a suitable time to start getting at least a few degrees warmer.  One bloody good thing I will say about it being cold though, is that I can wear this jumper.  I bought it in the Christmas sales for fifteen squid (bargain with a big, fat, capital 'B'!) and have worn it a few times since then but have only truly realised my love for it in the past couple of days.  One thing's for sure, I'm gonna be wearing this a lot now, up until the point where it's too hot to wear it anymore (if such a point exists).  I didn't wear polo neck things until buying this but I'm a convert, saves you from wearing a scarf/snood anyway!  The navy colour is one which I really enjoy wearing and it's the perfect fit: big and snuggly!

Polo neck umper & black patent loafers: TOPSHOP | Skinny jeans: ZARA | White round sunglasses: ASOS

After putting this outfit on earlier my initial thought was 'Uh I look like a posh, preppy bloke' but I actually really liked that, does this mean I have issues/am a man on the inside?  Nooo, I wouldn't go that far, I think I was just enjoying the change from Converse.  I am in Converse every day.  I'm not exaggerating, if you read my blog you must know this by now.  I like them so much my shoe of choice on my wedding day would be my Chucks, but sometimes, just sometimes, it's nice to go wild and cuh-razy and wear a completely different style of shoe.  I didn't get the round of applause I was expecting when I came downstairs wearing them, but I know it's big deal, 'kay?  Thankfully I haven't been outdoors too much today so my feet didn't get chance to get cold, phew.Today has been spent finishing painting my bedroom so I'll be moving back in tomorrow, since I started living in it it's kept the look which my brother had it as - meaning blue and claret walls, not exactly my taste (although he now has my floral wallpaper, ha) - so I'm looking forward to moving back in and for the space to finally feel like mine.Yesterday me and mum went to my grandma's to start working on the charity my mum wants to start.  It was nice to wake up in the morning with the intention of going off to do some work (uni doesn't really have the same effect).  At such an early stage I wasn't really needed apart from computery stuff, but I found it interesting just sitting and listening to what was going on.  I so hope it works out!

Tiger & camo

Tiger sweater: ASOS | Hat: TOPSHOP | Camo pants: ZARA | Shoes: CONVERSE

I don't know what inspired me to pair this sweater with the pants, I didn't expect the purples and lilacs to go with the green camo print, but y'know what?  They bloody do.  In fact now I've worn this outfit, it's like the top has been asking all along to be teamed with something similar to the pants to toughen it up a bit.  The colours and the silk material means it can be quite a feminine item, but the trousers really give the look that cool edge.  The hat is pretty much a necessity in this weather as it's still snowing here in England, STILL.  And I don't want my ears getting cold, do I?  Nuh-uh.
Lately I've been spending my time painting.  Yep.  We're going to try to sell our house which is long overdue and someone from the estate agents is coming on Friday, my room's being done at the moment which means I'm sleeping in the living room for the time being thus I'm extremely close to the toaster, endless supply of toast!  Yum.  On Sunday mum and I went to watch the new Oz film, it was awesome, on a scale of 1 to The Dark Knight Rises, I give it a good 7.  It was a little more cheesier than I expected in a couple of parts but then it's probably mostly aimed at kids, so I can't complain.  Have you seen it?
Mum's trying to start up a charity (and if anyone can do it, she can) so since uni isn't working out (to put it nicely) am gonna help her out with admin and stuff when I'm neede.  I hope it all works out, my mum really deserves it.

Camo pants

Blue polo neck jumper: TOPSHOP | Camo print trousers: ZARA | Shoes: CONVERSE

Bladdy hell it's not showing many signs of getting warmer here in sunny old England is it?  This calls for the coverage of all skin where possible, which I'm not a huge fan of but you gotta' do what you gotta' do.  I thought I'd bring out my camo pants to play as they go perfectly with a plain top/jumper thanks to the print, so you don't have to put much thought into the outfit, which is a good thing when you're picking what to wear simply depending on how warm it'll make you.
This jumper is a sale purchase which I managed to grab for a whole twenty pounds, so that's about 50% off the original price.  I really like jumpers and they make you feel so snug and comfortable, I have them in a variety of styles and colours, from this navy blue to a bright yellow one, which I can't get enough of.  I thought the blue looked good with the greens in the trousers, add some red lipstick and it's actually a combination of colours which I really like.
Today and tomorrow my mum is on a course so I've missed her company, sobbbb.  As a result I've spent my day waking up at half one, having a shower and getting a new tattoo done.  Yep, I did it.  Who was I kidding?  Of course I did it.  I've posted a picture of it on Instagram, it's only a simple one this time!  I'll put a post up tomorrow probably.

Wishful Wednesday

1. Origami cotton tee £20 SELECTED | 2. Jacquard pattern top £39.99 ZARA | 3. Black contrast sleeve sweatshirt dress £38 RIVER ISLAND | 4. Shiny nylon backpack £40 AMERICAN APPAREL via ASOS | 5. 'Kapow' sweat crop top £15 FASHION UNION | 6. Blue lace bra £9.99 H&M | 7. Lion head chunky necklace £18 ASOS | 8. Neon yellow jumper £21 GLAMOROUS |

1. I spotted this top on ASOS and then decided to look at more of their stuff, I haven't heard of them before now but they have some really nice things!  This top is kind of lovely.
2. I saw this in store the other day and thought 'Yessss' and then I saw the price tag and thought 'Nooo...', but hey, I can still look at it and pretend.
3. This is amazing, maaaan.  So cool with a beanie hat and some Converse, with or without tights.  Please get in my life.  *adds to birthday wishlist*
4. I've recently discovered I want to invest in a backpack, I'm so over handbags and feel a little too girlie holding mine, which now is apparently something I don't like...
5. 'Kapow' slogan tops are pretty much everywhere at the moment, and this is my favourite which I've seen.  The crop top style would make it go so well with my high waisted jeans.
6. I am a woman, therefore I like pretty underwear.  The end.
7. I would wear this with a plain tee and a bomber jacket.  Parfait.
8. Neon is something I don't shy away from and think, when worn right, it can look amazing.  I would wear it with this skirt I very recently purchased and the sleeves rolled up.

On my own, pretending he's beside me

Sport top: TOPSHOP | Red 'New York' hat: RIVER ISLAND | Camo skinny trousers: ZARA | Shoes: CONVERSE

Excuse the silly face expression, it was really frickin' cold.
Ohhhhh new things alert! This top is what I showed you a few days ago when I was telling you how pleased I was with it.  It has a cool, street edge vibe and the boyfriend fit isn't something I tend to go for but I really like that about the top.  I also think it's cool because of the different material of the '86'.
These camo pants are something I wanted ever since they first came online on Zara.  I came extremely close to buying them numerous times but they kept selling out or not being available in my size.  However, fate must have favoured me this time as after I'd given up on them, I found them in the sale for a mere eighteen pounds, and they were in my size!  They were on my door step a week later.
The print goes extremely well with the monochrome colours of the t-shirt, and the baggier the fit of my top half the tighter I have to go on the bottom half (it's like an unwritten rule), so clearly these pants are very tight.
This hat is one of my favourites at the moment and it gives a Rihanna/Rita Ora feel to any outfit, which is always good in my books.  It offers the perfect injection of a bright colour to this look and goes perfectly with my lipstick.  Aw yeahhh.
Hope you're all having a nice week so far!  Mine's been rubbish 'cause, y'know, uni... Blehhhhh.  But fortunately the weekend starts for me on Tuesday nights, so YAY.  I plan to spend the rest of the weekend reading books and magazines and watching shizzle.  Speaking of which, I lost my 'Girls' virginity last night.  I've only watched the first episode but I know already I'm gonna really like it and probably watch all of the available episodes pretty quickly.  What are your favourite series to watch?  There's so many on my 'to watch' list!  Finish Dexter, catch up with 'The Vampire Diaries', start 'Homeland' and 'Breaking Bad', oh and 'True Blood!'... As I said, there's a lot.
