Little white dress

CREAM SKATER DRESS & RING: ASOS | SHOES: CONVERSE via OFFICE

It is official: I am in love with this dress.  IN LOVE.  Especially because I bought it for £16.50 in the ASOS sale.  It's white (my favourite colour of the season), it has a low back (with a cute bow on), and WHEEE LOOK AT ME it twirls.  This is the Chuck Norris of dresses.  J'adore!  Maybe I am a little bit cold, just a little, but I think am certain that tights would make the dress look average, so I threw my tights and coat on the floor in protest.  I really like it with my Converse which add that little edge which I likey-like.
This AWESOME ring is another new sale purchase which I grabbed for £4, and I cannot stop looking down at my hand.  "Do you like my new ring?  Look, it looks like it goes THROUGH my finger!".  Coolest. Ring. Ever.  And it's a great way to ease into the neon trend this season.  AND it matches my coral nails perfectly.
Do you know when you have that one item in your wardrobe which you just cannot take off, except when it's in the wash, and then when it comes out of the wash, you put it straight back on?  This is definitely one of those.  I've already planned in my head mulitple outfits which I could create with it, but for my first time wearing it I thought I'd keep it simple and let the dress take centre-stage.
This dress is the most exciting part of my day, as I'm spending all day revising (as you can see, ahem...) for my French oral tomorrow, am jumping for joy, JUMPING.

Bright ideas

There is one thing which the standout pieces on the s/s 12 catwalks all had in common: neon.  Whether it's fluorescent pink, coral, yellow or orange, highlighter hues are massive this season.  This spring, there’s nothing that'll liven up your look more than a bold neon, and everyone knows that the best way to make your outfit really pop is to have the element of surpise down to a t.  This collection of pieces should give give your look just the right amount of shock value.
This trend can easily be too much for some and there's always the risk of looking like a 90s teen raver, so for a subtle take on the trend pair a neon necklace with a tee in a simple colour like black or grey marl, or even a flash of colour on your nails will give your outfit that little something-something, and mixing vibrant shades with monochrome will really make the piece(s) stand out.
Will you be braving this trend this season, or are you more of a pastels girl?  I've already purchased some fluorescent pink skinny jeans, I think neon nail varnish will be next on my 'to buy' list!

Tie a knot in it

BUNNY SWEATER: ASOS | MIDI/MAXI DRESS: TOPSHOP | SHOES: CONVERSE via OFFICE

After wearing this dress about a week ago, I wanted to try wearing it again but in a different way.  I think the sweater definitely adds a lot of fun to the outfit, and really adds an edge to a plain, black dress.  The knot in the maxi skirt is something which I've seen a picture of before and I thought it was the perfect way to add a little twist and I really liked how it came out.  What do you think of the length of the dress, maybe I'm dressing too old for my age?  But fashion is all about experimenting!
I had a little online shopping spree last week which all arrived during the weekend, so check back here tomorrow to check them out!

Pastel jumper

PASTEL BLUE JUMPER: HEARTS & BOWS via ARK | SILVER NECKLACE: TOPSHOP | BLUE LACE DRESS: ASOS | SHOES: CONVERSE via OFFICE

HOLDTHEPHONE, it's not raining in these pictures?!
Rain is the one thing that can stop me taking outfit photos, and it's been raining all day every day recently which really shucks, but when I took this pictures it was even slightly sunny. Whut?
This is my new jumper from Ark Clothing, a great site I found through another blogger a few weeks ago.  They have lots of nice items at great prices, this jumper was £19.99, half the price of what I usually pay for one, and I love the lavender-blue colour of it.  I think it would even look great with a pair of cut-offs in the summer (if that still exists now...) so it's really versatile.  I usually wear gold jewellery but I prefer how silver looks against the blue which is why I chose this necklace.
Happy weekend!   I will be spending mine revising for my French oral on Tuesday, funsies!

I get style inspiration from several places but the main sources of my inspiration are fashion blogs, and without them I wouldn't have started mine. I catch up with them everyday and I don't only admire their pictures but I read what they have to say because I love finding out where they got theirinspiration from for that particular outfit. This is where my fashion inspiration has come from this week, so they deserve at least a little bit of credit!

Donald Trump wants his blue blazer black

BLUE BLAZER: FOREVER 21 | FLORAL SHIRT & GREEN SKINNY JEANS:  RIVER ISLAND | SHOES: CONVERSE

Sooo maybe bright blue doesn't go with dark green, and whut?  I think the outfit worked anyway instead of pairing it with a neutral coloured top jumper/top etc.
I've gotten to that point when you haven't spent money on something for ages but really want to shop shop shop, so after a couple of weeks of whining and moaning about not knowing which items to buy off my Pinterest wishlist ('cause, you know, 376 items is a lot to choose from...), but I finally got all brave and bought some items online this morning.  It took me a good hour to choose, but brave all the same.

So what?

BLUE BEANIE HAT: TOPMAN | BLACK BLAZER: H&M | BLACK MAXI/MIDI DRESS: TOPSHOP | SHOES: CONVERSE

So I haven't really worn something like this before, which is one reason why I really like this outfit.  I think it's so important to experiment with things in fashion, and a lot of people might think this outfit doesn't look right on paper, but so what?  With style icons like Audrey, Rihanna and Anna Dello Russo I think it's important that your outfits make people look and notice what you're wearing.  Fitting in isn't something which I really care about when choosing what to wear, more standing out.  I'm hardly wearing a cherry on my head, but I'm definitely learning to get the hell out of my comfort zone and have fun.

Dinosaur tee

BLACK BLAZER: H&M | DINOSAUR TEE: TEE AND CAKE via TOPSHOP | BLACK LACE SHORTS: ASOS | SHOES: CONVERSE

Is this the best t-shirt ever, or is this the best t-shirt EVER?  It looks a bit like I've stolen it from an eight year old boy's wardrobe, but I can live with that.  I was obsessed with dinosaurs ever since I was, er, born, and it's always stuck with me a little bit.  The Land Before Times box set is one of my favourite possessions.  Hence why I had to (HAD TO!) have this tee as soon as I lay my eyes on it last year.  I think you can find the odd one on eBay but I know they have a few similar ones in Topshop at the moment.  I did get a few compliments on it today and this is one item of clothing which I will never throw away/sell, despite whether I get too fat/old/mature for it.
Am so pleased it's Friday, I still haven't got back into a normal sleeping routine which means I've been getting on average about four hours sleep each night (mainly because I now watch an episode of Game of Thrones each night in bed).  I wouldn't expect it to be my type of thing, but I've heard good reviews about it on Twitter from a lot of people, so I thought I might as well!
Happy weekend!
