1. I CANNOT DEAL WITH HOW COOL THESE ARE OK BYE.
2. Out of everything on my wishlist this week, I've got to say this is my favourite (just).  It was love at first sight for me.  The pattern, the colours, the shape... Perfect!  It's an adrogynous piece so I'd go all out and team it with some boyfriend jeans and Converse.  Best- no, worst thing is, there's a matching skirt too which I saw yesterday.  NOW I MUST HAVE BOTH.  Please, please, oh please, get in my wardrobe.  No, really.
3. Howww cuh-uuute is this ring?  Very apt too seeing as I spend half of my life drawing at the moment.  Want!
4. I'm really digging all the sheer mesh panels on clothes at the moment (thanks Alexander Wang), this skirt is really cool and sexy and perfect for summer when worn with a cropped tee/cami vest.
5. Daaaaaamn this is one sexy shirt.  The colours are right up my street, let's all just take a moment to imagine this with some skin-tight leather pants and blue hi-tops (see #1).  Yep, I am there.  I am so there.
6. I saw this dress last night and actually really like it.  I say 'actually' because it's a bit girlie for my style, but I can only imagine how fit it would look with my arm tattoos (once I get them, that is...) and some red lipstick.  Ergh, be mine, BE MINE NOWWWWWW.
7. Sexy black dress with the cool, sports luxe feel which is always huge in summer seasons.  Need I say more?

P.S. My blogging mojo is slowly but surely coming back, bare with me!

Sorry this is late, it was my mum's birthday yesterday, so naturally we was off having fun.
1. I liiike this, I think the cut-out shoulders make it look a little bit sexy.
2. I am obsessed with my black ones, so can't help but think how cool some pink ones would be.
3. This is hard to resist when it's a mere tenner, I love the colour and I'd wear it with some black ripped skinny jeans.

Gold dress

Gold sparkle dress, black faux fur gilét, fairisle knit snood & blue pom pom hat: TOPSHOP | Shoes: CONVERSE

So if you haven't noticed already, this dress is actually the same dress from my outfit post the other day.  Yep, the midi dress.  So it's actually two dresses in one.  What can I say, I'm a genius...
Like I mentioned in the previous post, it is more of an evening/going out dress so I try my best with it to make it into a more casual outfit for daytime wear, which I think the hat, the snood and the Converse have definitely done.  Success!  This snood is one of my favourite accessories, I think the colours are so great and even though it's not something I usually go for I liked it as soon as I saw it in store.  I think it looks lovely with the dress, which is quite unexpected since they're very different items.
The faux fur gilét is a fail-safe item in any winter wardrobe.  The texture adds a bit of glam to any outfit whilst keeping you nice and warm at the same time.  In fact I've been out in this on and that's it as I was warm enough without having to throw my big coat on, which is definitely a good thing.
This is a perfect, Christmassy outfit in my opinion.  The sparkles and the faux fur give it that luxe feel, whereas the hat and scarf make sure it's still nice and cosy.  I can't help but team the hat with this dress, as the colour of it subtly matches with the dark blue base of the dress.
So there you go, I'd never worn this dress until a few days ago, and now I've worn it twice, in two completely different ways.  Being inventive with your closet is a must when you can't afford to buy anything new.
I'm currently watching Jeremy Kyle whilst doing this on my break from uni.  I go back later for a two hour lecture and finish at six, but then I have a day off tomorrow, woop woop.  Today in two weeks I will have the Manchester blogger meet up.  I am totally excited for it as it's my first meet up and I don't get the opportunity to go to any as they're usually in London.  It will be great to meet lots of new girls and it's held at Harvey Nichols which should be really cool.
P.S. Did you see Kristen Stewart's red carpet look from last night?  I think it's my favourite from her yet, the dress is beautiful!  Check it out here.

Machine guns ready to go

Tiger silk sweater: ASOS | Cream pom pom hat: TOPSHOP |
Black vintage denim cut-off Levi's shorts: HEARTS & BOWS via ARK (c/o) | Shoes: CONVERSE

I adore this sweater, the colours the so lovely.  And, d'uh, it's a tiger, therefore it's awesome.  I really like how it looks with the cream hat, the colours go well together but mainly because the casual feel of it contrasts with the silk top.  It's such a unique piece and one of my best finds, in my opinion, and it would look great worn in so many different ways.  Another good thing about it is the little chain attached to the neck, so you can just throw it on and go rather than umming and ahhing over which necklace you should wear with it.
I was very lucky to recieve these shorts a few months back.  Ark contacted me and offered me to pick a couple of things from their Hearts & Bows range (which is my favourite) and these shorts had been on my wishlist for quite some time.  These are the first and only product I own by Levi's as I thought they were too expensive for my budget, but these are completely affordable at under twenty seven pounds, am I the only one who thinks that's a really good price?  For me the distressed and frayed effect is a must when it comes to buying denim shorts, as well as them being high-waisted.  Much more flattering and easy to wear, don't you think?  I'm not a sucker for vintage, really, but I do like how these are one-offs, to some extent.
Hope you all had a nice weekend, I have!  I went to watch 'Skyfall' yesterday with my brother and my dad.  It really is a good film, I haven't seen many Bonds, and if I have I can't really remember them, but I'm convinced that Daniel Craig is the best Bond ever.  Although Sean Connery's accent will always be unbeatable.  Have you seen it yet?  What did you think?  I compared the end to Home Alone, but my brother and dad quickly disagreed...
I went out to breakfast this morning to this cute little cottage thing in the middle of nowhere, beans on toast, yummm.  I'm now chilling watching 'The King's Speech' with my mum before going back to Manchester this afternoon, and then back to uni tomorrow morning.

Kissing in the blue dark

Gold glitter midi dress, skull earrings & blue pom pom hat: TOPSHOP | Shoes: CONVERSE

My mum bought this dress for a dinner party sort of thing a few weeks ago, and then offered it to me.  'Sure' I said, 'but I'm not sure if I'll actually wear it', so into my wardrobe it went.  Until now.  I'm not usually a midi dress sort of person, as in I've never worn one before and this one is the first one I've ever owned.  Well, I can officially say I am now definitely a midi dress sort of person.  The reason I decided to come out of my comfort zone and put it on is all down to moving to Manchester.  Burnley is a place where no one is interested in fashion.  Leggings are the norm and about 90% of the contestants from Jeremy Kyle are probably from here.  But Manchester is completely different, especially when you're on a fashion related course.  I've seen many girls rocking the midi-dress-with-high-tops look, which is exactly why I decided to embrace it and stop shying away from it.  Saying that, none of them midi dresses were covered with glittery material... This one is undoubtedly made for evening wear, but I'm not one to turn down a challenge.  In come the Converse and the pom pom hat, my go to pieces when I want to create a casual look, or to tone down a not-so-casual look.  Et voilà.  As soon as I put the whole outfit together I decided I really liked the ensemble and I instantly wanted a whole collection of midi dresses for my wardrobe, which I now notice it's unfortunately lacking of.  I think there's something so sexy about a midi dress.  Not in a in-your-face way, but it shows you have enough confidence without having to get legs/bum/boobs/all of the above out to make an impression.
Is there a look which you'd love to try but perhaps are too scared to do?  I encourage you to try it right now!  In fact, I dare you.
I went back to my flat on Sunday night and am now back at home since last night.  I think my family may be getting quite bored of me (I joke), and my brother keeps telling me off for not bringing him back something... I'm planning to have a chilled weekend and maybe persuade my mother to take me for a cheese and tomato toastie, because that's all I come home for really (again, I joke.).
P.S. SO glad Barack Obama won the election.  I cared more about that one than I did for my own country's last one.  I still don't know anything about their politics or whatever, but I did know that if Mitt (the shit) won then America would have been a very scary place to live, and they would have only moved way back into 20th century with the beliefs that he had.  So GOD BLESS America! Well, the good half of them anyway.

You sit there in your heartache

Yellow roll neck jumper, denim skater skirt & green pom-pom hat: TOPSHOP | Gold chunky chain necklace: ASOS |
Shoes: CONVERSE

I really like the colour of this jumper.  It's bright, almost fluorescent, which probably isn't the first colour which you'd buy a jumper in, but it was for me.  Another great thing about it is how snug and oversized it is.  If one was crazaaaay enough to buy a jumper in this neon hue for their winter wardrobe, they probably would tone it down with black items.  Moi?  Nope.  I just kept on adding colour, see: blue denim-look skirt and green hat, plus statement necklace.  Oh, and then bright blue Converse.  Standard.  Just add some nail varnish in another bright colour and you're ready to go.  I am all for wearing all black and looking as chic as hell, but sometimes I find it's nice to go the other way, stick your tongue out at the cold season and just opt for colour, colour, colour.
I did spend a lot on this jumper (it is from Topshop, after all) a couple of months ago, but I don't regret the purchase one bit as I have worn it so many times since and will continue to do so.  I think it will look equally as wicked teamed with a simple pair of skinny jeans and my black faux fur gilét.
Hope you're all having a nice weekend so far?  I spent yesterday inside watching Jurassic Park with my brother (yes, I did buy the box set) and spent some more time with him today.  I've also now seen the trailer for 'Life of Pi' which I can already tell is going to be my favourite film of all time.  I bought the book years and years ago when I was in America simply because there was a tiger on the front, only I haven't gotten round to reading it yet, but I can't put it off now I know there's a film coming out.  So. Excited.  I am also looking forward to the release of 'Breaking Dawn: Part 2' which looks AWESOME.
I'm off to my aunty's soon with my mum to watch  standard Saturday night television and eat some pasta.  Sorted.

3.
Black shaggy earmuffs £13 RIVER ISLAND | 4. Checkered shirt dress £40 TOPSHOP |
5.
Floral stitch backpack £28 TOPSHOP | 6. Tie dye maxi skirt £14.99 ARK |

1. I love Batman, so I kind of need this jumper.
2. Great shoes for winter, I am tempted.
3. I'm not usually ones to wear earmuffs (mainly because they don't fit on my head, ahem) but I do really like these.
4. This is my faaaaavourite.  The colours, the pattern, the simple shape.  This is the thing which will break my spending ban, I know it.
5. I really like the colours on this backpack, and the 'x' details contrast with the floral pattern very nicely.
6. I have been after the right maxi skirt for months, months I tell you.  The print on this is lovely and pretty much just asking to be paired with some Converse and a tee.  Done.

Lusting over: Kurt Geiger metallic sneakers

Pictures from kurtgeiger.com

Ohhhhh holy moley moley holy.  I could probably just keep this post with this picture alone and leave it at that, as I am sure a lot of you shoe lovers will appreciate these babies already, but I might as well just ramble on about their how unbelievably awesome they are.  Let's just ingore the price tag for a few minutes, 'kay?  Yeah, let's.
As you will know if you are a reader of my blog, I love my Converse.  Like, a lot.  I wear them with at least 95% of my outfits.  I don't attempt to get into clubs for a fat rave, but if I did, I'd probably be turned away, because I would be wearing my Chucks.  Because of my long term relationship with them, I have grown to love a variety of awesome trainers, although they are usually studded Louboutins which are way way WAY out of my price range, so I have to move on and (try to) forget them.  However, I spotted these babies in Kurt Geiger's campaign in Vogue a month or so ago, and my eyes were immediately drawn to the shoesies in the above picture.  Which I guess is what they were aiming for, right?
I think high-tops have a way of instantly giving any outfit the cool factor.  Can we please just take a moment to imagine a little black dress and a leather jacket teamed with one of these pair of sneakers?  Oh yeah, that's good.  Or you could just go completely the other way and pair them with an androgynous suit, like in this shoot.  And they look just as amazing.  Are they versatile?  Oh, absolutely.
They might not be your thing, and you might look at these and think 'Hmm, think I'll stick to my ballet flats!/heels!/whatevers!', and I know a lot of you would rather spend this amount of money on a fierce pair of Jeffrey Campbells, but trust me, these are SO up my street.  Like seriously, they could be my nextdoor neighbours.
So, maybe this story doesn't have a 'happy ever after' and this is where it ends.  But I can keep pretending, right?
