Growl

Black dog print t-shirt dress: RIVER ISLAND | Gold quilted bomber jacket & studded flatforms: TOPSHOP

This is the item that broke my spending ban (which I was do bloody well on, by the way) a few weeks ago.  It's partly because I loved it, and partly because mum said 'Ohhh go on!', blummin' enabler!  But thanks mum, these photos show me the reason why mothers are always right! (That's right, kids.)
I've got to say when I first saw this dress I actually thought it was a top, but when holding it up to myself it was quite apparent that it's meant as a dress, but obviously it's a t-shirt style one so it can be worn as a top when tucked into things as well, bonus!  All for the mere sum of twenty pounds, I'll take that.

I think it goes so well with these shoes that it's actually pretty ridiculous.  The bomber jacket seemed like the ideal addition seeing as the gold colour matches with the studs on the shoes, add some red lipstick and boom boom pow you're ready to go.  This outfit would look just as well when it gets colder (so later in the week, then...) so you can easily add tights.  I'm not exactly girly girly so the shape of the dress is great for my style - simple and casual!  I'd wear this on a night out ya know, maybe with some stockings too.

Elephant dress

Elephant print dress: ASOS | Gold studded shoes: TOPSHOP

Everyone, meet my new favourite dress.  New favourite dress, meet everyone.  Anyone who knows me even a small amount knows that I seriously love elephants.  I've even bought home decor with elephants on which I can't actually use until I, you know, buy a home...  Nothing wrong with being prepared!  I don't know, I just buy everything which has elephants on, so when I saw this dress the other night, it was added to the basket.  Literally straight away.  I don't do that with many things, especially when I'm as skint as I am now.  I really like how the print is big enough so you can actually tell what it is without putting your face right up to my body - a pet peeve of mine.
The shape is something I wasn't sure of when I first tried it on earlier, my initial thought was 'Do I look pregant?' but I quickly realised it's a really cool, casual fit and wearing it with these flatforms gives it that perfect, laid back vibe.

This dress is more of a summer one - handy, seeing as that's the season that should be turning up any time now - but I could easily adapt it to a winter one with tights and a leather jacket too.
I haven't worn my red lipstick in a while - daaaaaamn have I missed it - but that small amount of colour was  just what this outfit needed.
I'd thought I'd show you my new finger tattoos which I got yesterday, you'll either love them or think I'm a crazy bitch, but either way I'm down with it.  Oh, and I haven't shown you my half shaved head on here either!  Another impulsive decision, what can I say... This tattooing apprenticeship is changing me, man, I love it!

Rocket Man

Gold quilted bomber jacket, rocket t-shirt & black studded flatforms: TOPSHOP | Black pleather skater skirt: RIVER ISLAND

At the time (still now, actually) I didn't have the money to spend on t-shirts which I wanted because 'it has the coolest print I've ever seen!', but, as you can see, I bought it anyway.  Hi, I'm Demi, and I have a serious shopping addiction.  Y'know what though?  Despite constantly having a heavy cloud full of guilt looming over my head, I always thank myself for buying whatever item it may be, because I always wear them.  I mean, if I'm still buying clothes when I can't afford clothes, then I obviously must adore said clothes.  I am getting myself into debt for them, after  all.
One item which I'm especially thankful to past me for is this awesome (REALLY awesome!) t-shirt.  Big high five for me, from me!

I usually wear it with black skinny pants as they're simple and easily go with just about anything.  However I went for the skirt option today.  Not too out there seeing as it's still black - phew! - but makes a nice change.  The bomber jacket maybe was a bit of a risky addition but I think the gold goes really well with the blues and the reds in the print, so that was a good job!  The jacket also subtly matched with my shoes thanks to their gold studs, so it all worked out.  I did think about wearing my grey beanie but if I don't learn to say no to myself then I would wear it every day.
No, really.

Red leather pants

Grey oversized tank top: ASOS | Red skinny leather pants: RIVER ISLAND | Black studded flatforms & black leather jacket: TOPSHOP

I'm not sure if I can or ever will be able to get away with double leather, but I'm gonna do it anyway.  There's still a lot of haters out there of double denim, and I never shyed away from trying that, sooo...?
As is the rule when wearing double denim: two different shades are essential.  So I must be close to getting away with the leather version if I'm not only wearing two different shades, but two completely different colours?  Had I worn a matching leather jacket then, yes, you'd have every right to wonder what the hell I was doing.

Both the pants and the top are new (as was at least one item in all of my recent posts - I really should do a haul).  I didn't have to put any second thought into buying either of them.  The red leather pants are something which I've wanted ever since I can remember, and in this exact very-nearly-too-bright-for-the-camera shade, so I felt very lucky when I found them.  Oh, and I feel like I'm missing out a vital piece of information... Ah yes, I got them in the sale.  For fifteen pounds.  Oh fashion gods you do treat me well.
I'm not much a tank top wearer, I wore enough of them to make up for a lifetime when I was about thirteen, but the fit of this one is perfection.  It falls in all the right places meaning all my tats are on show (and I didn't hesistate to show that fact...).  I think the grey colour tones down the bright pants really well.  What do you think of the trousers, would you even go there?
Today I tattooed fruit.  It was fun.  And I only got a tiny squirt in the eye once.  I also got my tattoo started on yesterday, so watch this space to see that...

With a gun in your hand

Sooo I wasn't too sure about this outfit this morning, but me knowing me I knew I'd learn to love it, and after looking at these pictures I do.  Thanks, past me!  The reason for my doubt was, as I said the last time I wore these pants a few days ago, they look a bit like pyjamas, and the baggy, silk material of the top only adds to that.  The materials work very well together, yes, but so do a pair of matching pyjamas, so... Y'know what I'm saying?

Black leather jacket & studded flatforms: TOPSHOP | Lilac t-shirt: RIVER ISLAND | Stripey pants: ZARA

Saying that, I think they do look bloody good together, as in, for daytime wear.  No bed included.  I think the reason I felt reassured is because of the addition of the leather jacket, and then the studded shoes.  They really helped to toughen the whole look up, y'know?  Lilac can be a hard colour to wear for somone like myself who isn't really into girlie colours, and pastel lilac is definitely one of those.  However, when worn with black and these pants which are actually pretty boyish, lilac is working pretty damn well for me and now I want to wear it more often.  Plus, I got the top for £15 in the sale, sooo I couldn't say no really.
Tonight is being spent watching 'The Voice' followed by 'Britain's Got Talent in my jimjams with an Indian takeaway.  Don't hate me because you ain't me!
Hope you're all have a laaaavely weekend.

Sports luxe

Gold quilted bomber jacket, oversized jersey tee & black studded flatforms trainers: TOPSHOP | Black skinny leather pants: RIVER ISLAND

I've always said I can't fit my style into one category and that I would adopt completely different style personalities each day, however, after all these years, I think I'm finally learning what I like.  I'm not saying if you asked me to describe my style I could give you a three-worded answer, but I'm realising that there's certain looks which I am swayed towards more than others.  Maybe you've noticed as well if you've been a reader of my blog for a while?  I like grungy, I like sporty casual, and I like androgyous.  Well... at least I've narrowed it down?
Don't get me wrong, I love a dress as much as the next girl and wearing one makes me feel great, but an outfit like the one I'm wearing today is becoming my go-to.  I've also been on quite the shopping spree over the last week or so, and I've bought much more out-there, statement pieces than I usually would.  This is a new start for my style y'all, so watch this space!

This top is one of my newest purchases, if you haven't already noticed it's the black version of the white t-shirt which I bought a couple of months ago and I happen to be a bit obsessed with.  I'm also waiting for the blue one to come into stock so I can snap that one up as well...  I'm reeeeeeally digging these flatforms which I also bought very recently, and I want them in every colour too.  Please.

Pyjama Trend

Blue coat: RIVER ISLAND | Black top & stripey pants: ZARA | Grey beanie hat: TOPMAN | Black studded flatform trainers & red lipstick: TOPSHOP

Ever wondered how you'd adapt your pyjama pants to daytime wear?  No, me neither.  But now I know.  Not that these are actual pyjamas (well I hope not or else they were very expensive pyjamas), but that trend's been round for a while now.  Y'know, the one where fashionistas wearing clothes which look exactly like pyjamas outside of the house and somehow making it look cool?  Yeah yeah, that one.  It's not showing any sign of going away either seeing as Marc Jacobs took a bow for his latest Louis Vuitton collection in actual jammies.  I mean, if he's doing it, then I'm doing it, buuut maybe not quite so extreme.  Except for the especially lazy days, maybe then I will.

I haven't tried the trend before, and I wasn't intending to when I saw these pants on Saturday, I just liked them, realising they looked like nightwear came afterwards.  I knew as soon as I saw them that they'd look awesome with these new shoes I got (right before buying the pants, yep) and daaaamn was I right.  I didn't want to wear anything but a simple top to keep the look as casual and effortless as possible, so this loose knit one was the perfect choice.  Add the beanie from Topman and some bright red touches and we've got one cool ass look which I am now obsessed with.  This is the start of something new for my style, I can feel it.
What do you think of these pants, would you?  Or will you be sticking to your jeans?  These ones are definitely a lot more comfortable, I can tell you that much.
I'm finally back blonde, yayyy!  You might not know seeing as the last outfit I posted on here was with my orange hair, but yep, I got it out in the end.  Don't get me wrong, being an orange head was awesome and fun, but if the box says it washes out after a while, then I expect it to wash out, kapeesh?
How've you been?  It's been aaaages since I've properly posted, so a catch up is well needed!  I've been good and am still enjoying my tattooing apprenticeship, make sure you keep me in mind if you're planning on getting a tattoo, wink wink.  You'll be waiting a while mind, but it'll be worth it!
