Growl

Black dog print t-shirt dress: RIVER ISLAND | Gold quilted bomber jacket & studded flatforms: TOPSHOP

This is the item that broke my spending ban (which I was do bloody well on, by the way) a few weeks ago.  It's partly because I loved it, and partly because mum said 'Ohhh go on!', blummin' enabler!  But thanks mum, these photos show me the reason why mothers are always right! (That's right, kids.)
I've got to say when I first saw this dress I actually thought it was a top, but when holding it up to myself it was quite apparent that it's meant as a dress, but obviously it's a t-shirt style one so it can be worn as a top when tucked into things as well, bonus!  All for the mere sum of twenty pounds, I'll take that.

I think it goes so well with these shoes that it's actually pretty ridiculous.  The bomber jacket seemed like the ideal addition seeing as the gold colour matches with the studs on the shoes, add some red lipstick and boom boom pow you're ready to go.  This outfit would look just as well when it gets colder (so later in the week, then...) so you can easily add tights.  I'm not exactly girly girly so the shape of the dress is great for my style - simple and casual!  I'd wear this on a night out ya know, maybe with some stockings too.

Rocket Man

Gold quilted bomber jacket, rocket t-shirt & black studded flatforms: TOPSHOP | Black pleather skater skirt: RIVER ISLAND

At the time (still now, actually) I didn't have the money to spend on t-shirts which I wanted because 'it has the coolest print I've ever seen!', but, as you can see, I bought it anyway.  Hi, I'm Demi, and I have a serious shopping addiction.  Y'know what though?  Despite constantly having a heavy cloud full of guilt looming over my head, I always thank myself for buying whatever item it may be, because I always wear them.  I mean, if I'm still buying clothes when I can't afford clothes, then I obviously must adore said clothes.  I am getting myself into debt for them, after  all.
One item which I'm especially thankful to past me for is this awesome (REALLY awesome!) t-shirt.  Big high five for me, from me!

I usually wear it with black skinny pants as they're simple and easily go with just about anything.  However I went for the skirt option today.  Not too out there seeing as it's still black - phew! - but makes a nice change.  The bomber jacket maybe was a bit of a risky addition but I think the gold goes really well with the blues and the reds in the print, so that was a good job!  The jacket also subtly matched with my shoes thanks to their gold studs, so it all worked out.  I did think about wearing my grey beanie but if I don't learn to say no to myself then I would wear it every day.
No, really.

Sports luxe

Gold quilted bomber jacket, oversized jersey tee & black studded flatforms trainers: TOPSHOP | Black skinny leather pants: RIVER ISLAND

I've always said I can't fit my style into one category and that I would adopt completely different style personalities each day, however, after all these years, I think I'm finally learning what I like.  I'm not saying if you asked me to describe my style I could give you a three-worded answer, but I'm realising that there's certain looks which I am swayed towards more than others.  Maybe you've noticed as well if you've been a reader of my blog for a while?  I like grungy, I like sporty casual, and I like androgyous.  Well... at least I've narrowed it down?
Don't get me wrong, I love a dress as much as the next girl and wearing one makes me feel great, but an outfit like the one I'm wearing today is becoming my go-to.  I've also been on quite the shopping spree over the last week or so, and I've bought much more out-there, statement pieces than I usually would.  This is a new start for my style y'all, so watch this space!

This top is one of my newest purchases, if you haven't already noticed it's the black version of the white t-shirt which I bought a couple of months ago and I happen to be a bit obsessed with.  I'm also waiting for the blue one to come into stock so I can snap that one up as well...  I'm reeeeeeally digging these flatforms which I also bought very recently, and I want them in every colour too.  Please.

Mesh

Black fishnet t-shirt: H&M | Denim dungarees dress & gold quilted bomber jacket: TOPSHOP | Red 'New York' beanie hat: RIVER ISLAND | Shoes: CONVERSE

How awesome does this dungarees dress look with this top though?  It's like they were made for each other, riiight?  The thing I really like about this top is how the lace covers just the right part, which destroys the whole thing of "Heeeere's MAH BOOBIES" which see-through tops usually have.  I mean it's still a little bit "Heeeere's MAH BELLYBUTTON' but this dress gets rid of that so you don't need to worry about that either.  Sorted.  Saying that I really like how you can see errrrthang around the back.  How cool's that?
I look a little bit like a farmer girl slash toddler in this dress so I always wear things which try and move it as far away from them as possible, and the top and the beanie hat do a perfect job, if I say so myself.  They're cool and edgy and the bomber jacket is the cherry on top of this stylish cake.  My dad said last week that this bomber jacket looks a bit '...Rapperish', which any normal girl would take an insult but I'm ghetto so I'm totally down with that and it's whack.  Dawg.
So I'm writing this at 03:52 on Thursday morning and I am tired, so very tired, but am scheduling a load of posts to keep you guys busy whilst I'm away.  When you're reading this it will be mah birfdayyy.  I won't read them today but I will when I get back so none of you have any excuse to not wish me a happy birthday, unless of course you're not reading this in which case:

OI, YOU, YEAH YOU, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY, THE COMMENTS BOX IS DOWN BELOW.  KFANX.

Dunga-do

Black dungarees: ASOS | Red 'New York' beanie hat: RIVER ISLAND | Gold quilted bomber jacket & sport t-shirt: TOPSHOP | Shoes: CONVERSE (via SCHUH)

I simply cannot get enough of these dungarees.  Saying that, I can't get enough of this t-shirt either.  So it kind of makes perfect sense to put them both together, right?  I thought because they are both masculine pieces that wearing them with each other was just asking to look like a boy trapped in a girl's body, but what the hell.  I've always what it'd be like to be a boy for a day, anyway.  Plus, surely the red lipstick helps to tell everyone that I am feminine, even just the teensiest bit?
The dungz are already a wardrobe favourite of mine despite only having them for a few weeks.  I'm so glad they made a comeback this winter and are going to be just as popular during next season too.  This means practically every high street store is stocking them and in various colours and fabrics, too.  Can I have one of each please?  You could argue that I won't get much wear out of these as surely I'll store them away once the summer weather comes?  Mais non, you would be wrong.  I'd team it with a sheer blouse or a neon camisole top instead, maybe this orange one from Topshop?
I will bet someone a whole five pounds I see at least ten pictures of girls wearing denim dungarees to festivals this summer.  Anyone...?  I think the black colour of these, though, really helps to just make them chic, rather than toddler-esque.  They're still not very flatterying and saying 'sexy dungarees' would be a huge oxymoron but, hey, I love 'em.
Have you bought some dungarees?  Maybe you think they're a huge dunga-don't?

Crop it.

Gold quilted bomber jacket, grey crop top & khaki green skater skirt (similar): TOPSHOP | Shoes: CONVERSE

I am really liking crop tops at the moment.  I don't have many and it's getting to the point where I'm looking at my other t-shirts and thinking 'Should I cut the bottom half off...?'.  Topshop are doing a wide variety of them at the moment though and it's kinda' hard not to buy one.  I decided on this one as it's a simple style and the colour and the t-shirt shape mean it's easy to dress up.  The grey marl colour lets me wear it with pretty much everything in my wardrobe, so that's exactly what I'm currently trying to do... I've already worn it with my high-waisted jeans - which are what actually made me want a crop top in the first place - and next on the list is this skirt.
Saying that, I didn't really plan to wear these together.  This khaki green skater skirt has been a member of my wardrobe for a good few months although it's definitely not one of my most-worn pieces.  Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure I've worn it less than five times... But when I spotted it hanging there, all forgotten about, I decided to play Cupid and matched it with this top, and I have to say, they make a pretty good couple.  Throw in the gold jacket and it's a threesome made in Heaven.
I feel like the colours go really well with each other, and looking at them now I can't believe I haven't worn the gold with the khaki green sooner.  It's kind of like military chic without being too obvious, you know?  I'll definitely be wearing this outfit again in the summer without tights, maybe with an oversized denim jacket instead.
Today has been good, considering I woke up at two... (I went to sleep at five, ok?!) I spent an hour or so at two o' clock this morning giving my blog a pretty big makeover, what do you think?  My blog is like a hairstyle as in I get bored of it after however long.  I liked my last one and I think that was the longest I've kept a layout the same, but its life has come to an end.  I'm pleased with the new look, anyway.
Today I went for lunch with mummy bear and then filmed a Youtube haul video which will be up just before eight, if anyone's interested.  Tomorrow I am off to get my back tattoos re-coloured.  I quite like the grey, faded look but I think my tattooist would tell me off if I told him that.
I won't be surprised if I come out with a new one as well y'know...

Turn up the lights in here baby.

Gold quilted bomber jacket & grey marl crop top: TOPSHOP | High-waisted jeans: MISSGUIDED | Shoes: CONVERSE

I'm really liking this gold bomber jacket.  It is quite an unusual piece and, erm, three sizes too big, but hey!  You win some you lose some.  Gold isn't a colour I wear, really, except in jewellery, but I do have a skirt in nearly this exact same material, so I thought it only made sense to buy the jacket too.  I haven't worn them together, but it's something I'm planning on doing pretty soon... Maybe it's a bad idea as they're both pretty 'out there' pieces on their own as it is, or maybe that's what will make them work so well together.  Am excited.
I thought the jacket would go great with this outfit as the jeans are the crop top are both quite simple items so they can be easily dressed up.  The crop top is a new buy which I bought knowing it would go well with these jeans, I think the midriff is one of the more flattering sections of your body to show off which is why it's like these jeans were sent from fashion heaven.  The Topshop ones look amazing too but I can't afford them at the moment, maybe some time in the distant future...
So I've spent my day writing up my '50 Facts' post, I've been thinking of them over the last few days and I finally managed fifty.  It's not that fifty things is a lot about one person but I'm not very good at thinking on the spot and it's better if I let them come to me.  I'm also going to do a video on it so I'll put them at the same time, maybe tomorrow.  I plan to video a few things tomorrow, including a haul too.  Hopefully the weather will be okay for some outfit photos too, I much prefer outdoor pictures.  I love having a blog, it makes my days feel much more productive when I'm doing bloggy-related stuff.
