Mesh

Black fishnet t-shirt: H&M | Denim dungarees dress & gold quilted bomber jacket: TOPSHOP | Red 'New York' beanie hat: RIVER ISLAND | Shoes: CONVERSE

How awesome does this dungarees dress look with this top though?  It's like they were made for each other, riiight?  The thing I really like about this top is how the lace covers just the right part, which destroys the whole thing of "Heeeere's MAH BOOBIES" which see-through tops usually have.  I mean it's still a little bit "Heeeere's MAH BELLYBUTTON' but this dress gets rid of that so you don't need to worry about that either.  Sorted.  Saying that I really like how you can see errrrthang around the back.  How cool's that?
I look a little bit like a farmer girl slash toddler in this dress so I always wear things which try and move it as far away from them as possible, and the top and the beanie hat do a perfect job, if I say so myself.  They're cool and edgy and the bomber jacket is the cherry on top of this stylish cake.  My dad said last week that this bomber jacket looks a bit '...Rapperish', which any normal girl would take an insult but I'm ghetto so I'm totally down with that and it's whack.  Dawg.
So I'm writing this at 03:52 on Thursday morning and I am tired, so very tired, but am scheduling a load of posts to keep you guys busy whilst I'm away.  When you're reading this it will be mah birfdayyy.  I won't read them today but I will when I get back so none of you have any excuse to not wish me a happy birthday, unless of course you're not reading this in which case:

OI, YOU, YEAH YOU, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY, THE COMMENTS BOX IS DOWN BELOW.  KFANX.

Baroque-ing it

Fishnet top: FOREVER 21 | Baroque t-shirt & book clutch bag: ASOS | Leather pants: TOPSHOP | Shoes: CONVERSE

This outfit would have looked better with my orange hair but OH WELL, it's still an outfit I like lots.  I wore it the other day and thought 'Daaamn why is there no one here to show my outfit off to?!', 'all dressed up and nowhere to go' is my life story.  True dat.  Maybe I should hire a shit load of people to sit downstairs and applaud when I walk into the room with whatever awesome clothes I'm wearing that day, I deserve a little bit of credit for my efforts (to be fair my mum always makes nice comments but she wasn't there on this day, so...).  However for now I'll just have to post outfits on here and you're all gonna have to tell me how much of a great job I have done.  Fanks.
I'm really having to stop myself from wearing these leather pants all the bloody time recently.  I stole them from my mother's wardrobe a few weeks ago so they're not new new but they're new to my wardrobe, and what happens when you add something to your wardrobe which you love?  You wear it all the bloody time (or is that just me?).  That's similar to what happened when I bought this t-shirt shortly before Christmas.  The print is awesome but baroque is known for being glamorous and embellished, which this tee is definitely not, and that is what I like about it.
I layered it over this fishnet top (which is being worn under every bloody top I have at the moment) and because of the white print on the grey top I think they look really good together, plus it just makes the overall look a little more interesting to look at.  The focal point of the whole thing, however, is the book clutch - or 'Butch', as I like to call it.  I bought it specifically for Paris but thought 'Why not slip it into my OOTD pictures?  Might as well make the most of it!'.  I'm not a clutch kind of girl and this is the first one I've ever owned, but I really did want this one when it first came in stock, I mean it's a bag... Disguised as a book!  Genius.  However I've never had the right occasion to buy it for (but now I dooo!) and knowing I wouldn't need it for my daily trip to Tesco's I decided to keep it on my wishlist.  Luckily for me I stumbled upon it a couple of weeks ago - in the sale for fifteen pounds - and just thought 'ah screw it!'.  You like?  I do.  My brother effing hates it, he can't even look at it without making him angry.  He's a boy, thus he doesn't understand why I wouldn't just buy a bag that looks like a bag.  In fact I believe his words were 'You're just gonna look like a TWAT'.
This one's for you, Jo.

P.S. If you want to see this outfit in video form you can check that out on my Youtube channel here.

Feel my bones...

Camo jacket, skeleton top & khaki green skater skirt: TOPSHOP | Fishnet top: FOREVER 21 | Shoes: CONVERSE

I haven't worn this camo jacket in ages - partly my fault, partly my mother's - but as a last second decision I put it on.  I didn't get chance to look in a mirror (yeah, literally last second) so I was kinda' taking a stab in the dark thinking it would look good with the outfit, especially due to the colour of the skirt.  And I've got to say after looking at these photos, I'm pretty pleased I added it.  Maybe you disagree, but I've worn it now so it's a bit late innit?  It might sound a little crazy but I think if it wasn't for the red lipstick I actually wouldn't have liked it, but you probably know that I'm a big fan of my red lippie and wear it with nearly every outfit.
Despite the snow (how is it not 20 degrees yet?  C'mon Muvvah Nature) I wanted to take my jacket off and show off what was underneath.  It was only the other day when I wore the combination of the skeleton top layered over the fishnet top, however I liked it so much that I'm bring it back already, yeah baby.  I wore it with jeans and a beanie last time so it's a little less casual today and I'm still digging it.  I didn't expect to get so much wear out of this fishnet top when I purchased it a few weeks ago, I mean, I bought it for the specific purpose of wearing it with my dungarees, but it's getting to the point where I'm wearing it with nearly every top in my wardrobe.  Hey, I'm getting my money's worth, I'm okay with it.

$ All I see is dollar signzzz $

Gold quilted bomber jacket: TOPSHOP | Red 'New York' hat: RIVER ISLAND | White fishnet top: FOREVER 21 | Black dungarees suit: ASOS | Shoes: CONVERSE

A dungarees: like a onesie, for daytime.
Dungarees are pretty much everywhere it the moment, in several different forms: dresses, shorts or the full suit.  These are also in a variety of fabrics, from leather to velvet.  I bought a dungarees denim dress from Topshop a while ago which has featured on my blog numerous times, and since wearing that I've been wanting to get my hands on a pants one.  Luckily for me, they've been dropping into a few stores recently, ASOS and Topshop mostly from what I've seen, and out of all of them this one was my favourite.  ASOS also did a similar one in a faux leather material, which was super cool as well, but that sold out and plus it was a little more expensive, so I went for this, which feels a bit denimy but isn't...
I added it to my wishlist as soon as I saw it online a few weeks ago but didn't take the plunge due to the £45 price tag, which I couldn't afford, but when has not being able to afford things ever stopped me before?  Exactly... After seeing it on a few blogs, including 'Into the Fold' and 'NRC', I decided to just go for it and added it to my basket, and to my door it came a few days later.
I don't know why or where my inspiration come from but whilst it was on my way I decided I wanted a white fishnet top to go with it.  Now, a bit later on, I think I could have subconciously been thinking about Rihanna's look on 'Styled to Rock'.  I went on search for the perfect fishnet top, which surprisingly not many places sell, but much to my pleasure a few days later I spotted this one 'La Vagabond Dame'.  I've never ordered from Forever 21 before and for some reason I suspected the delivery would be as bad as H&M, but I was wrong and it arrived very quickly.
Today is the first time I've worn them together and I think they look perfect with each other and I'm pretty sure I have fallen in love with this outfit.  The bomber jacket and the beanie hat added a bit of a street edge to the look, and the red lipstick was just an obvious choice, I'm starting to wear it a lot more recently.  One of my favourite looks in a while I think, and I can't wait to style this dungarees with different tops.  What do you think of dungarees, would you go there?  I know they're not for everybody's taste.
