You could be happy

Thin knit jumper: ZARA | Pastel pink skinny jeans: ASOS | Shoes: CONVERSE

These jeans used to be neon... God damn you, washing machine.  GOD DAMN YOU.  Am wearing my new favourite top.  Again.  It's so easy to wear, plus it's light, buuuut it's still a jumper, so it's easy to wear on relatively hot days like today, but you can also adapt it to when it starts to get colder.  These jeans were the easy option to wear today, although that's mainly because I don't have any tights (they rip after like five minutes of me wearing them.  EVERY. TIME.) and in today's crappy (albeit hot) weather, I thought baring my legs wasn't safe enough.  I don't think I'll wear this pair that much come next season as they're not exactly a winter-appropriate colour, but I think I will definitely invest in some different colours like dark green and deep red.
As pictured, I got the scaffold (or industrial) piercing.  Again.  I had it done aaages ago, but I ended up losing the screw-on ball for it and then I kept procrastinating to get it done again.  Well, months later, I finally did it.  Woo.  Hoo.  I am glad because it was my favourite piercing and one of the first ones I got.  I am planning to get much more in my ears, but I thought I'd start with this getting put back in.  She tried to push it back through the original holes but they'd nearly healed up and I was flinching and wincing so she decided to just pierce it again.  Am pretty sure it hurt more than the first time, but it was totally worth it.  Do you have any 'different' piercings?
Hope you all had a nice weekend!  I spent it mostly eating cheese and tomato toasties.  Definitely going through a phase where I just want them and nothing else.  Sooo good.

I've loved and I've lost

Black faux fur gilet, guitar necklace & white collarless shirt: TOPSHOP | Black lace shorts & white round sunglasses: ASOS | Shoes: CONVERSE

I told you you could wear a faux fur gilet as part of a summer outfit!  And I bet you doubted me, pft...  Actually it was a little more wintery this morning as I had some tights on, but the sun soon came out so they went off, hellooo legs.  I bought this gilet a couple of weeks ago after trying to hunt one down for aaages, to I couldn't resist because I know I will wear it so much next season.  A great layering piece, imagine it over a leather jacket.  Yeah, totally made you want one now, right?  I think it would be such an investment for your wardrobe, and hello?  I have just shown you can wear it for any season, need I say more?  I was afraid this outfit would look a little too workwear-ish, but I wore my purple converse and my new favourite sunnies to give the look a bit of a fun twist.
The shirt and the shorts are quite old purchases.  I nearly decided to sell the shirt a few months ago but I am so glad I didn't, everyone needs a white shirt, right?  I received the shorts for Christmas and I have worn them a silly amount of times since, I think shorts are the perfect alternative to a skirt and I definitely need to get me some more pairs.
Thanks if you left a comment on yesterday's post encouraging me about university, I have had nothing buy support and love from my family, but the extra comment never goes amiss!  I am kind of excited as it means getting out of my crappy little town and hopefully means I will be able to find a part-time job, but at the same time it is without doubt the scariest thing I've ever done and I am going so far out of my comfort zone that I should be having a nervous breakdown, buuut there you go.  The next month will consist of me trying to get organised for a whole new life, so if you have any tips on what I'll need to take etc, please share!
Hope you're all having a nice weekend!

Man, I feel like a woman...

Faux fur coat: ASOS | Purple checkered shirt: HEARTS & BOWS via ARK (c/o) |
Black mini coated skirt: ZARA | Shoes: CONVERSE

I was offered by Ark to pick a couple of things from their store, and to be honest I didn't hesitate in emailing back straight away (as well as this shirt I chose this UH-MAZING skirt).  Ark is a shop which I've only known of for a few months and yet I'm on there checking for new stock nearly every day.  For what you're getting the prices are pretty much unbeatable and they stock several different brands from little ones like Hearts & Bows (my personal favourite) to Superdry.  A different item from them is almost always featured in my 'Wishful Wednesday' posts and I could happily build a whole wardrobe from their site alone.  If you haven't checked out Ark before, I seriously recommend it, I can guarentee there will be something you love!
I picked this shirt because I think checkered shirts are definitely a wardrobe staple, and yet somehow before this morning, I didn't own one.  Whaaat?  I purchased it a size up because I wanted an over-sized one, and over-sized it is.  I like my shirts to look like I've pinched them off a man (yep, just some random guy, I'm not picky) and then I can team them with not so over-sized pieces (see: really short skirt) or a pair of skinnies.
The coat isn't one I get to wear often as the weather's usually stupidly unpredictable, but since I had my legs on show I thought wearing a coat would balance things out.  It's my favourite sale purchase after grabbing it for more than half of its original price at the end of last year.  I always get compliments on it, so I will probably own it forever.  Win.
So I got my results yesterday morning, did I get the results I needed?  No.  Did I get into my first choice university?  No.  Am I bummed?  Not really.  I think things happen for a reason, and to be honest my heart was never in the inital course I chose, but I picked it because on paper it's a better university.  Hopefully things will work out for me and I spent half of my day applying for accomodation and what not.  It's strange to think this time in a month I will probably be living in a completely new place with strangers!
Happy weekend!

Friday Favourites

I get style inspiration from several places but the main sources of my inspiration are fashion blogs, and without them I wouldn't have started mine. I catch up with them everyday and I don't only admire their pictures but I read what they have to say because I love finding out where they got theirinspiration from for that particular outfit. This is where my fashion inspiration has come from this week, so they deserve at least a little bit of credit!

1. I cannot think of a better to way an all-black outfit than this one.  This mixture of textures and the accessories, such as the belt and the earrings, instantly makes the look chic.  I love.
2. You can't fail with a simple, girlie dress.  As I have said before, anything backless is a huge yes for me. Teamed with a top bun, a big pair of sunnies and some tough jewellery, it's perfect.
3. The boots alone are just... Amazing.  I think it's great how the feminine skirt was toughened up with a sleeveless blazer and a rottweiler print top.  And did I mention those boots?
4. Sian looks so lovely in this Jones & Jones dress.  The word 'angelic' comes to mind!
5. This jumper!  I love the contrast of the floral print mixed with the shredded detail.  And wore with them awesome sunglasses?  YES.
6. I really like all of these things worn together as an outfit.  Kinda' 'grunge-chic', which is one of my favourite styles.   Checkered shirts are definitely a wardrobe staple, I think.  And did you spot the leg chain?  I need to get me one of those!

Wishful Wednesday

1. So. Freaking. Cute.  And kinda' tasty looking...
2. A darker twist on the denim shirt, the perfect alternative for Autumn/Winter.
3. The cross symbol is kind of a huge thing right now on the high street, and I low how this gives a subtle nod to the texture trend.
4. I saw a gold one like this on someone on Youtube and I've been after one ever since, such a nice little detail to add to any outfit.
5. I have this exact bag right now except in a nude colour, so this would be great for next season.
6. I don't actually own a maxi skirt, but where better to start than with this one?  Plus, it's a pretty damn good price.
7. As you may or may not know, I am absolutely obsessed with tigers, so when I saw Victoria wearing this on her blog yesterday, I quickly added it to my wishlist.  Amazing item.
8. An awesome pair of earrings to add my growing jewellery collection.
