Three ways to wear... A floral shirt

Floral shirt: RIVER ISLAND

... With bright coloured skinny jeans: Sometimes with strong prints people tend to try to tone them down with more neutral items.  I, however, am going the complete other way with this outfit and really bringing out all the colours of the shirt with these neon pink jeans.  I did de-girlie the outfit though, with this casual pair of Converse.
... Under a skater dress: If you own a button-up shirt and a dress, I suggest you try combining them both together.  I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the outcome.  Finding a different way to wear a dress should always be welcomed, as they're not as versatile as separates can be.
... With a short skirt & faux fur: I gothed it up a bit in this look, but I think teaming the shirt with black makes the colours in the shirt pop just as much as the neon jeans do.  If I have my legs on show I usually button the shirt to the top and don't roll the sleeves up, to balance it out.  I'd definitely recommend investing in a faux fur gilet, as it is such a great layering piece.

You could be happy

Thin knit jumper: ZARA | Pastel pink skinny jeans: ASOS | Shoes: CONVERSE

These jeans used to be neon... God damn you, washing machine.  GOD DAMN YOU.  Am wearing my new favourite top.  Again.  It's so easy to wear, plus it's light, buuuut it's still a jumper, so it's easy to wear on relatively hot days like today, but you can also adapt it to when it starts to get colder.  These jeans were the easy option to wear today, although that's mainly because I don't have any tights (they rip after like five minutes of me wearing them.  EVERY. TIME.) and in today's crappy (albeit hot) weather, I thought baring my legs wasn't safe enough.  I don't think I'll wear this pair that much come next season as they're not exactly a winter-appropriate colour, but I think I will definitely invest in some different colours like dark green and deep red.
As pictured, I got the scaffold (or industrial) piercing.  Again.  I had it done aaages ago, but I ended up losing the screw-on ball for it and then I kept procrastinating to get it done again.  Well, months later, I finally did it.  Woo.  Hoo.  I am glad because it was my favourite piercing and one of the first ones I got.  I am planning to get much more in my ears, but I thought I'd start with this getting put back in.  She tried to push it back through the original holes but they'd nearly healed up and I was flinching and wincing so she decided to just pierce it again.  Am pretty sure it hurt more than the first time, but it was totally worth it.  Do you have any 'different' piercings?
Hope you all had a nice weekend!  I spent it mostly eating cheese and tomato toasties.  Definitely going through a phase where I just want them and nothing else.  Sooo good.

Still stuck in that time when we called it love

This outfit, I've just realised, is made up of all staple pieces which you should have in your wardrobe.  Pleather jacket, check. Denim shirt, check. Coloured jeans, check.  I've been planning to mix the denim shirt and the jeans together for a while because I think the colours go well together, but I couldn't stand the outfit being too girlie with the pastel shades together (which is why I've waited until now to actually experiment with the combination of them both) so I quickly threw on these black (what else?) patent loafers, and then added this jacket so the shoes didn't look too out place.  Paint my nails black (just to make sure one has toughened the look up enough), stick on some random jewellery and STICK A FORK IN ME, I'm done.
The combination of denim and leather usually makes quite a boyish outfit so the barbie pink jeans evened the outfit out perfectly and definitely made the ensemble more summer appropriate.  Leather pieces are definitely considered more of a winter item, but when it's not too hot but not REALLY cold, it makes the perfect transitional piece and I've worn it a few times this season, rather than throwing it to the back of my wardrobe when winter ended.
I've got into the habbit of going to sleep half past five in the morning and watching old school episodes of 'Whose Line is it Anyway' in bed. I'm assuming you're all asleep by this time because, well, you're probably normal. But this is what you're missing:

AIN'T IT PRETTY?  Hope you all had a nice weekend!

One of these days you'll realise...

GREY PEPLUM TOP: TOPSHOP | PINK SKINNY JEANS: ASOS | SHOES: CONVERSE

This top is a new addition to my wardrobe and one of the first things I wanted to pair it with is these awesomely pink jeans (which were actually a more impressive neon shade before I put them in the wash with a white top, D'OH).  I love the contrast of the colours together and they are both quite light shades (again, D'OH!) so I think they compliment each other really well.  If there's one thing that every fashionista EVERYONE needs this season, it's a pair of coloured jeans (and depending on the colour they can be something you need EVERY season).  From pastels to neons and every other imaginable shade inbetween, literally every retail store on the high street offers their take on this coloured denim trend, so you're spoilt for choice, really!  In my advice it's best to buy cheap - I bought these when they were reduced to £19 - because the more colours you have, the better!  I actually don't own one pair of your standard blue denim jeans anymore, which is appearing to be quite a challenge but it definitely makes me experiment with my outfits more.
I decided to go a bit out there with this neon(-gone-pastel) pink shade, but if you don't feel brave enough or maybe just aren't crazy for this trend, then electric blue is still a good colour to try because it's still the traditional blue except with a wow factor.  I am discovering that my favourite way to wear this trend is to neutralise the jeans with a neutral coloured top half (see above).  Do you have a pair?  How do/would you wear them?
In other news, well, not much to report actually.  I was a naughty girl and didn't awake until one o' clock this morning, sleeping in is something which I've been getting better at since finishing college, but I feel like any time after twelve is pushing it a bit!  I only have myself to blame though because something I've found out about myself is I love falling to sleep when it's starting to get light and you can hear the birds tweeting, therefore I've not been going to sleep until about half four in the morning, my bad... After I've finished reading my current book and the Christian Grey trilogy I'm hoping to get back into my drawing hobby, so maybe my days will feel a little more productive then!
