Friday Favourites: Picture, Video, Outfit...

I'm thinking of doing a new feature on my blog, I used to do a 'Friday Favourites' post on my blog every week featuring the my pick of the best outfits I'd seen over the past seven days, however apparently I've become much more picky since then and can't find enough outfits in one week.  Since stopping that a few months ago I've recently decided to try a new feature, showing my favourite finds from the week.  I'm thinking of doing things from a few categories each Friday, so maybe I have a favourite Youtube video, song and news article one week, and the next week a picture, a red carpet look and an outfit off someone else's blog.  Is this making sense?  I'm just trying it out today anyway and I'll see how it goes.

Favourite picture(s):
Tom Hardy cuddling a puppy

Ladies and gentlemen more ladies, I introduce to you the reason I thought about this feature in the first place.  Apparently going on about it on my Twitter wasn't enough for me, so I have to blog about it as well.  If you don't already know, I am in love with Tom Hardy.  Scientists say if you've had a crush for longer than four months then you are in love, SO YES, IT'S TRUE LUV.  I have a serious, serious weakness for tough, bad guys who are soft on the inside, and if you've seen Tom Hardy's roles in movies then you'll know why I have this obsession with him.  HE'S SO PERFECT.  Oh yeah, and I love puppies too, so seeing these pictures gave me a load of feelings I didn't even know I could feel.
The best thing is these are pictures from the set of a new animal-themed crime film he's starring in, which I already know is going to be one of my favourite films ever.

 Favourite outfit:
'Seeing double' by Camille Over The Rainbow

I fell in lust with this outfit as soon as I saw Camille wearing it, she has one of my favourite styles on the blogosphere but this one she wore is one of the best I've seen, in my opinion.  My style isn't girlie so on paper I probably wouldn't have liked this outfit: ladylike heels and I a frill hem skirt?  Hm, not my thing.  However, seeing it on Camille makes me feel completely differently.  The box style t-shirt, the heavy chain clutch and the unkempt hair give it that perfect masculine touch, plus I adore how the whole look is black.  This. Is. Awesome!  Yep, I could definitely see myself wearing this, whoda funk it?

Favourite fashion find:
Boudoir Lace Lingerie Set from ASOS £28

I featured this on my 'Wishful Wednesday' post this month and I can easily say it's my favourite from my picks.  I am a girl who takes much joy and pleasure from wearing sexy, feminine underwear (as many of you will be also) and I'm a big believer in that a matching pair of underwear can make you feel much better throughout the day, whether someone else is going to see it or not.  This lingerie set from high-street favourite ASOS is one of the most beautiful ones I've ever laid my eyes on, and the price?!  Wow.  The cut-out details are what really attracts me to it. *adds to basket before convincing myself I don't need anymore pretty underwear, repeats x10*

Favourite Youtube Video:
'Hitler finds out about Google Reader'

If you're a blogger then you've most probably heard about Google's plans to scrap Google Reader in July, I haven't started worrying yet so I'm just sitting back and watching everyone else panic at the moment, however bad the situation may be though you can't deny how genius this video is. "Google Reader is more than a daily habit, it's an extension of myself.  I am truly fucked now!"
Effing. Hilarious.

So there are my favourites from this week!  What do you think of this new feature, is it a bit all over the place?  I'd really appreciate your feedback!

Friday Favourites

1. I love how the shoes subtly match with the cool Batman top, such a great look.
2. Sometimes all-black outfits are the best ones.  So effortless.
3. What better jumper to wear in Movember than this one?  I really like how it's been styled here.
4. Leather & faux fur = perfect winter combination.
5. The colours of this outfit are lovely, and I am so lusting after that statement necklace.
6. THIS.  I want to recreate this look so much.  I need to get me some stockings and a thigh-split maxi skirt.  Damn, this is awesome.

Friday Favourites

1. I really like this outfit, simple but extremely chic.  And her dog is so cute it should have a blog all on its own.
2. This is SUCH a great autumnal outfit, I think the high tops are just the perfect finish, and give the look a casual twist.
3. This skirt and t-shirt combo probably shouldn't work together, but they so totally do.  J'adore.
4. Creepers, pleather skirt and a rucksack all work so well together.  The beanie just makes it that perfect grunge look.
5. Note to self: wear a long jumper over a mini shirt dress in the summer.  Oh, and see if you can pull off a cap.

Friday Favourites: Halloween

Ah, Halloween!  It is over now, for another year, but I couldn't resist showing you my favourites.  I didn't have any plans this year so didn't dress up (sob) but I've had lots of fun seeing everyone else's looks and how much effort they've put into it.  If I was to dress up I'd definitely do the last one!  I also think doing your face as a Mexican/candy skull is a REALLY great idea, too.

1. Probably the most simple look, but really effective.  I actually really like this dress.
2. Black lipstick, black balloons and a skeleton tee.  Easy to recreate, I love it.
3. A long gown and skull make-up, such a good idea!  So it IS possible to look good on Halloween.
4. I adore the attention to detail in this look: the spiders, the cobwebs, everything.  Her hair looks amazing with it all, too.
5. I like how this isn't all about scary and yet still really creative.  I think it's great how she's holding a candle, too.
6. Aaaah this is SO good!  The make-up and the hair are awesome.
7. I'm always impressed when people make their own costumes!  It really does look like the cartoon character she was dressing up as, too.
8. Who knew someone could look SO cool, in their Halloween costume?  Damn.

Oh, and I can't not mention how much I also loved Jenna Marbles' costume - her and her boyfriend went as Chazz and Jimmy from the end of 'Blades of Glory', and they both helped to make the costumes, effing GENIUS.  If you haven't seen the video, watch it here.
And they have been my favourites this year!  I must say, I'm surprised that I've seen no one dressed as Sandy from the last scene in Grease due to the current obsession with disco pants, I mean, that must be an easy option, right?!
Did you dress up this year?  What did you go as?  I'd love to see!  My brother went as Lance Armstrong and wore a carboard sign around his neck saying 'Will race 4 drugs', because it's 'topical'.
Yeah...

Friday Favourites

I get style inspiration from several places but the main sources of my inspiration are fashion blogs, and without them I wouldn't have started mine. I catch up with them everyday and I don't only admire their pictures but I read what they have to say because I love finding out where they got their inspiration from for that particular outfit. This is where my fashion inspiration has come from this week, so they deserve at least a little bit of credit!

1. Checkered shirt, high-waisted shorts, a bowler hat and a pair of Dr. Martens.  Yep, this is good.  Real good.
2. This reminds me of the Balmain A/W '12 collection, which can only be a good thing.  I need me some of these trousers.
3. If you ever want to pull off dressing similar to a man, which I totally do, then use this look for inspiration.
4. I love the mixture of these two prints.  Simple but effective.
5. Berry colours, pleather collars and statement necklaces are where it's at this winter.  Perfection.
6. I fell in love with this outfit straight away, I kinda' sorta' really want a tartan print scarf, now.
7. Autumn is my favourite season for a lot of things, and one of those is Halloween.  I never thought someone would pull off looking like a skeleton so well, but Kavita definitely does.
8. I suddenly want to buy numerous jackets in different textures and start layering them.  I really like the colour of this green one.  Lovely.

1. Simple outfits are sometimes the best.  I'm a sucker for skirt and Converse combinations.
2. I love how this glam skirt has been toned down with a chunky knit and some casual boots.
3. How beautiful is this look?  The colour of the dress is so girlie, which makes the addition of the sleeveless biker jacket even more perfect.
4. Midi skirts are sometimes hard to style, but once I get round to buying one I will definitely be using this look as my inspiration.  Casual and comfy, but still feminine.
5. Lots of studded leather and a smiley face crop top.  If the word 'cool' was personified in an outfit, this would be it.

Friday Favourites

1. The perfect transitional outfit.  The fragile chiffon material in the shorts contrasts really nicely with the knit jumper.
2. I love the injections of the neon, and you can't beat an oversized, studded denim jacket, can you?
3. Oh this is MY kinda' outfit.  Quite a simple outfit, but the leather-on-leather definitely makes enough of a statement.
4. I really like this skirt, the pink bag and the beanie hat are the perfect additions, I think.
5. Such a simple but gorgeous outfit, I am really digging drop-hems at the moment.  Love the red with the pink, too!

Friday Favourites

1. The perfect adrognyous outfit.  I must find me a hat like this one!
2. I am in love with the colours of this look, the clutch-slash-cushion is now on my wishlist.
3. Tartan, a studded collar and a pop of red.  Yes, yes, yes.
4. I really like the soft, grey dress contrasted with the skirt.  Yes people, this shows there is more than one way to wear a dress.
5. What's better than a peplum?  An extreme, exaggerated peplum, obvs.  Looks great with the wine-coloured jeans.  I really want to recreate this look for next season.

Friday Favourites

1. I REALLY like all of these colours together.  Red leather pants, a gold snake skin jacket and them velvet western-style boots?  Yeah, it probably shouldn't work, but it SO DOES.
2. This is how to do grunge, people.  Camo jackets are everywhere at the moment, and I can't get enough of mine.  The shoes add the perfect pop of colour.
3. Orange and leopard print, a combo which I didn't know I liked, but after seeing this on Audrey, I now know I have to try it.
4. There is something so right about this outfit.  I love the breton top teamed with the tu-tu style skirt.  I think this may be one of my favourite outfits of all time, and I have seen a LOT of outfits.  The black accessories tone it down perfectly.
5. After seeing this look I want it to be winter right now so I can re-create it.  I think the leather trousers look amazing with the loafers.
6. If you don't get your hands on a camo jacket, why not try a dress?  I really like how it looks with the flower crown as it creates the perfect contrast.

1. This floral skirt is so pretty, I love how it's been toned down with a simple grey marl tee.
2. HER TOP HAS THE BATMAN SYMBOL ON IT.  Nuff said.
3. What better way to wear a simple, white dress than when it's been grunged up with a checkered shirt and a black bag?
4. I love the colours in the outfit, the neon coral looks awesome against the black shorts.  And the creepers were a very nice choice, in my opinion.
5. It's simple, but I love it.  Very city chic.
6. The colours in this dress are too pretty.  Perfect with the white accessories.

Friday Favourites

1. A heavily studded bra peeking through a big chunky jumper.  Genius.  The colours work so well together, too.
2. I have a thing for tartan pants at the moment.  They look so great with this polo neck sleeveless top.
3. A cool-but-sexy outfit.  I love this.
4.  This look is so easy to re-create, I really have to get me a denim gilet.
5. Yellow and red work so well together.  Throw some leopard print shoes in there and you can't go wrong.
6. Quite a simple outfit but with the pop of colour from the shoes and the clutch, it's far from boring.  Perfect way to make a white tee and a pair of jeans a little bit more interesting.

1. I cannot think of a better to way an all-black outfit than this one.  This mixture of textures and the accessories, such as the belt and the earrings, instantly makes the look chic.  I love.
2. You can't fail with a simple, girlie dress.  As I have said before, anything backless is a huge yes for me. Teamed with a top bun, a big pair of sunnies and some tough jewellery, it's perfect.
3. The boots alone are just... Amazing.  I think it's great how the feminine skirt was toughened up with a sleeveless blazer and a rottweiler print top.  And did I mention those boots?
4. Sian looks so lovely in this Jones & Jones dress.  The word 'angelic' comes to mind!
5. This jumper!  I love the contrast of the floral print mixed with the shredded detail.  And wore with them awesome sunglasses?  YES.
6. I really like all of these things worn together as an outfit.  Kinda' 'grunge-chic', which is one of my favourite styles.   Checkered shirts are definitely a wardrobe staple, I think.  And did you spot the leg chain?  I need to get me one of those!

1. I love the pop of neon, black lace was the perfect addition to the skirt.  And check out that necklace!
2. Creepers, a simple dress and a beanie hat.  I LOVE.  Plus, I think flashing a bit of backage is just the right amount of sexy.
3. The girlie, dusty-pink dress looks amazing with the darker pieces, especially the snug knitwear.
4. The dress is quite feminine due to the long length and the sheer skirt, and the studded jacket and the boots toughen the oufit up perfectly.
5. A leather jacket, a tee and denim cut-off shorts.  Where can one go wrong?
6. This is like, my ideal outfit.  I am in love with this Wildfox skeleton top, and the shoes inject a nice pop of colour.  Very nicely done.
