Baby blue

PASTEL BLUE JUMPER: ARK CLOTHING | WHITE SKATER SKIRT: ASOS | SHOES: CONVERSE via OFFICE

I have been wanting to pair these two items together ever since I purchased the skirt last week but haven't really had the chance, but since the sun was slightly shining and it hasn't been as freeze-your-boobies-off-cold as it usually is, I thought today would be the perfect day.  I have vowed to step away from bodycon skirts and wear skirts in other shapes which is one reason why I bought this one, I also love the colour.  A summer-appropriate jumper is quickly becoming a staple piece in my wadrobe, I think this would look so good with a pair of denim cut-offs or some white skinny jeans.
In other news, I found out yesterday that my mum has booked me in for a tattoo for Saturday, after she read this post the other day, so I am really excited for that (the tattoo, not the process of getting one...) as I've been hoping to get one ever since my eighteenth.  I'll definitely be putting a picture up on Saturday/Sunday to show you, 'cause you're obviously all as excited as me, yes...?
Another thing I'm looking forward to is the release of Snow White and the Huntsman, it looks like a really good movie, and I've got a bit of a soft spot for Kristen Stewart.  And I think Charlize Theron is pretty awesome.  Will you be seeing it?

If you're interested in seeing some of the clothes which I am selling, you can check out my eBay here.

White

CREAM JUMPER: TOPSHOP | WHITE/IVORY SKATER DRESS: ASOS | SHOES: CONVERSE via OFFICE

Floaty dress + lots of wind = trying (and miserably failing) to look as elegant and flirtatious as Marilyn Monroe did.  Just a simple outfit for a pretty simple day (I only had an hour and a half at college, brag brag brag).  The light colours of the outfit with the black tights isn't a combination I wear very often, but is definitely an interesting one.  These are the type of things which I wear when I want the sunshine and the summer temperatures (come on, it IS the middle of May, after all) but simply can't have them, so I have to throw on a big chunky knit and a pair of tights.  What's a girl to do?
This is my dress, which am wearing as more of a skirt today, which I bought in the ASOS sale a few weeks ago.  I also received a package off them yesterday morning so that will hopefully feature on the bloggy woggy once the rain stops.  The jumper I've had for a while and I have it on a looooot of the time.  I can't resist it's comfy softness.  I did pay at least forty pounds for it though so I have still got to wear it all the time for another year or so until it becomes worth it.
I'm in the process of applying for accommodation at Manchester University which is where I will hopefully be going this September.  It's quite to scary to think that this time in a few months I could be living in a completely different place and studying in a completely different environment, especially when I still rely on my mum for pretty much everything other than making my bed... Quite a few bloggers who I follow are just finishing university, which seems to be a very stressful time what with deadlines and what not.  It's exciting too, though.  I am itching, ITCHING, to get stuck into the wonderful world of fashion.  Fingers crossed.

Denim shirt

DENIM SHIRT, BLACK SKATER SKIRT & JEWELLERY: TOPSHOP | SHOES: CONVERSE via OFFICE

I have been wanting a denim shirt for, er, ever.  I think they are definitely one of those pieces which every woman has to have to their wardrobe, they're timeless and can create a variety of outfits. I finally bought mine during my little shopping spree on Saturday, and kept it simple it today with this black jersey skirt, but I don't think it will be long until I am experimenting with the double denim look.  Watch this space... I purchased it in a size up because I've made the mistake before of buying a shirt in my size and then ending up with an unflattering gaping hole around the booby area, never a good look really, is it?
On my mini shopping trip I also came away with the famous polka dot Topshop trousers.  I've never owned a pair of trousers in my life but if there's anywhere to start then with them is probably the best place.  More on them tomorrow...
Am thoroughly enjoying my Monday off so far, although to be honest even if I was in college I would have only had an hour there, it's a hard knock life.  However mes examens are in a month, so my life will be full of joyous revision until then, but hopefully my hard work will pay off.
Hopefully.
I hope you all have a nice day off!  Except those who don't have one...

Tie a knot in it

BUNNY SWEATER: ASOS | MIDI/MAXI DRESS: TOPSHOP | SHOES: CONVERSE via OFFICE

After wearing this dress about a week ago, I wanted to try wearing it again but in a different way.  I think the sweater definitely adds a lot of fun to the outfit, and really adds an edge to a plain, black dress.  The knot in the maxi skirt is something which I've seen a picture of before and I thought it was the perfect way to add a little twist and I really liked how it came out.  What do you think of the length of the dress, maybe I'm dressing too old for my age?  But fashion is all about experimenting!
I had a little online shopping spree last week which all arrived during the weekend, so check back here tomorrow to check them out!

Yellow & navy blue

YELLOW JUMPER & BLACK FEATHER EARRINGS: NEW LOOK | BLUE LACE DRESS: ASOS | MOUSTACHE & CROSS RINGS: TOPSHOP |
SHOES: CONVERSE via OFFICE

A combination which you wouldn't expect to go together, but really really does, is navy blue and yellow.  I remember seeing it on someone's outfit post aaages ago and thought 'wow!' straight away, mainly because I'd never even thought of pairing these two together.  This is the first time which I've actually tried it after discovering I had both of the colours in my wardrobe (hardly Narnia, but a great discovery all the same).
I have yellow nails (which is perhaps slightly controversial) but they're not as bright as I wanted them, I am after some properly neon nail varnish at the moment but no success yet.
I was so happy this morning to get an email from Topshop saying there was a mid-season sale on their website, and since I've saved up a bit specifically for shopping I let out a happy squeal and had a browse.  'OH MY GOD has that seriously been reduced from £38 to £3?!' click 'Out of stock... Oh.' repeat x10.  Every single thing which I liked was out of stock, and I saw the perfect bomber jacket which had been reduced to £10(!) which I am especially gutted about!  I'm pretty sure they must have put everything in the sale which they had less than three of.  Woe. is. me.
I knew £3 was too good to be true for Topshop.

Run DMC

BLAZER: H&M | TEE: TEE AND CAKE via TOPSHOP | LACE SHORTS: ASOS | LEOPARD PRINT SHOES: CONVERSE via OFFICE

This tee is definitely one of the oldest pieces of clothing that's in my wardrobe, and it's not even that old, really.  But it was a love at first sight thing so I'll probably never throw it away, although the cut-out detail probably won't be appropriate for my fifty year old self.
I received some ASOS mail this morning (yay!) containing a new LBD and some way-more-fluorescent-than-they-looked-in-the-picture pink jeans (booo).  I was going to send them back but discovered I can't as I tore apart the original packaging (me with a parcel is like a lion with a piece of meat) which it turns out I needed... Maybe I'll end up loving them, but I'm not so sure, they just remind me of desperate teenage girls years ago wearing tutus and leg-warmers in all sorts of fluorescent colours to attend a hardcore rave 'foam party', ew ew ew.
