I got sunshine in a bag

BLACK BLAZER: H&M | SPIKE NECKLACE: TOPSHOP | PLAN WHITE TEE: ZARA | BLACK LACE SHORTS (similar): ASOS | SHOES: CONVERSE

I have been wanting a summer short suit for, well, ever since seeing this picture of Elin Kling (one of my absolute favourite street style shots EVER) and since I would love a suit in a more summer-appropriate-colour than black, I just don't have the money so I had to make do with my blazer, which I seem to be wearing with everything these days, and these shorts which I also practically never take off.  I love how this outfit is different from the usual summery-outfits you see (denim shorts, maxi dresses etc etc) and yet is still kept quite season appropriate with the show of some a lot of leggage.  I do enjoy dressing up in the summer usuals, but I do really like changing it up a bit.  What about you, what is your summer go-to outfit?
The only teensy-weensy problem with the sun at the moment, well not with the sun but with me, so now whenever I am inside I get really frustrated because I'm not outside and making the most of it, but living in a not-exactly-exciting town (to put it nicely) and having no money, going for a walk seems like the only option, which is pretty damn rubbish.  If only I lived near a sandy beach or an outside pool... (I'm not asking for that much, am I..?) I love you England, but warmer countries really do have more to offer *sigh whinge moan sob huff*.  The idea of getting a bike for summer sounds really appealing ever since Robyn commented the on my post the other day that that's what she likes to do in summer, as bike rides are much more exciting than walking, so maybe I'll invest in one.  The chances of me actually saving up for a bike rather than putting it towards clothes shopping/a new camera are pretty slim though really, really slim so slim YOU CAN SEE THEIR BONES.  But we'll see.

Plain white tees

WHITE T-SHIRT WITH CUT-OUT BACK: ZARA | SKINNY JEANS: RIVER ISLAND | SPIKE NECKLACE: TOPSHOP | SHOES: CONVERSE

So this is one of my Zara tops which arrived yesterday.  I must say they are both a bit more see through than they looked on the website (that's what you get for online shopping, kids (although I have no local Zara so it's not my fault, really...) but hey ho, there you go.  With the right bra it isn't too much of a problem.  On the one hand it is just a plain white t-shirt, but I am a sucker for anything which has a bit of a different back, like this cut-out one.  I'm not much of a 'basics' girl but when I do want the odd thing Zara really is the place to go, some of their pieces look like they should be more expensive than they actually are, and it's always a nice treat to see something you really like and not get put off once you see the price tag (yes, I am looking at you, Topshop...).  It does look a bit plain and simple when you've got your coat on or whatever, but it will be so easy to wear in summer and show off some backage.  I've been wanting a tattoo on my back too (not like I can afford it) and after wearing this I'm thinking the top centre of the back would be an ideal place so it's easy to show when I fancy it.  It will happen at some point, this tattoo, just maybe not any time soon...  I'd love to have it when if it starts to get warm enough when I can actually step outside without my huge eskimo coat on.
I have the day off college tomorrow, hip-hip hooray.  The Queen is coming to vist little old Burnley as well as have a little tour-thingymajig around my college as part of her Jubilee tour around the country thing, so no one will be let in, or out, from the morning until two o'clock in the PM and basically only selected people are allowed to see her, plus there's going to be policemen with guns all over the place, so I think I'll probably stay at home and watch crap on television.  I have no problem with the Monarchy or anything like that though, I think a lot of people complain about it simply so they can have something to complain about.  Bor-ing.  I know Prince Charles' charity does quite a lot of work here though, and he has said that he supports our football team.  That makes us practically famous, right?  Er, maybe not.

Spikes

JUMPER, NECKLACE & SHOES: TOPSHOP | JEANS: RIVER ISLAND

Wearing my favoruite jumper and favourite jeans, yes!  It's finally been warm enough to take my coat off today (some of the time), hallelujah!  I mean I was still walking around with this massive jumper on, but it still counts, right?  I even went a step further (must have been feeling wild today) and whacked my ankles out, thus I can declare it is finally getting warmer *mini mexican wave*.  I love this necklace (I must do as I spent more than a tenner on it...) and I wore it to the first time today, only to find out that with every step I jingle, kinda like a cat with a bell around its neck...
I manned up and checked my bank today and actually discovered I had a bit more than I thought (cue jumping up and down in public) and decided to purchase one of the peplums as seen in yesterday's wishlist post, I can't wait to start wearing more summer appropiate stuff.  What are you most looking forward to wearing once it's warm enough?
