Pop of colour

BUNNY SWEATER: ASOS | ORANGE MINI SKIRT: VERO MODA via ASOS | SHOES: CONVERSE

Ooooh this sweater is one of my absolute favourite items in my wardrobe, and yet after doing a recap of my outfits in May I realised I hadn't worn it once last month, say whaaaat?  So I had to wear it today, obviously.  As great as it does look when teamed with a simple pair of skinnies, I kind of went completely the other way this time with one of my wardrobe's more stand-out pieces.  The simple colours in the sweater really make the orange stand out.  For us English it is a bit of a nightmare knowing what to wear due to the weather.  Well, winter's fine as there's a guarenteed chance you're gonna freeze your balls of as soon as you step outside, but in summer you just kinda have to take a stab in the dark and hope it will be warmer outside than it looks (which it never is), which I why I went with the unlikley combination of a winter-appropriate sweater with a mini skirt.  I shouldn't be wearing transitional outfits in the SUMMER, buuut you gotta do what you gotta do.
So I have no idea anymore which day the Queen's Jubilee is on, some people say yesterday, some people say today, some say the whole weekend - I give up, I know it's at some point this year which is all that matters, really.  I have nothing against the Queenie but I have done absolutely nothing for it, I was going to wear red, white and blue but that didn't go very well (as you can see in the photos above, there is a bit of a lack of red, white and, er, blue... whoops), but I DID take photos of flag/bunting things.  Albeit they're not hanging from my house, but flags all the same... Did you do anything?  I know there are lots of street parties going on today (or yesterday, whatever), isn't it lovely how the country comes together?  We should definitely be like this more often.
