Minty

SHEER BIRD PRINT BLOUSE: RIVER ISLAND | SPIKE RING: ASOS |
CREAM JUMPER, PASTEL GREEN SKINNY JEANS, JEWELLERY & LEOPARD PRINT SHOES: TOPSHOP

Mint was predicted months and months ago to be one of this season's hottest colours, which it definitely is, so these jeans are actually a few months old (what can I say, I am like, totatally ahead of the times).  I don't wear them very often simply because it is a little tricky to decide which shoes to wear with them, mainly because 95% of my shoe collection are Converse in every colour but white, but I had a little light bulb moment when I remembered that I have these leopard print slippers.  It really bugs me when my outfits are TOO matchy-matchy so rather than wearing a white shoe I actually like how these look with the outfit much more.  I think my silver flatforms would have looked pretty amazing with this outfit, but alas they do not fit, so I have been banned from wearing them again.  I really want to buy them in a size up but ASOS haven't given out a discount code in ages when they used to offer a new one every week.  Typical.  I know if I give in and buy them for full price, though, that the next morning they will send out an email offering something like 50% off.  Well I am so not falling for it, not this time...
I am digging pastels this season so these jeans are perfect for not-so-hot summer days, and their relatively stretchy material makes them a lot comfier than some of the other jeans which I own, b-b-b-bonus.  I really like how they're high-waisted as well so I can tuck a top into them if I wish.  The bird print shirt is something which I bought late last year, I fell in love with the print straight away and is different to any other print which I have seen so I couldn't resist buying, and how glad I am that I didn't!
I have spent the whole day studying for my exam tomorrow morning, and I can safely say I have never been this unprepared for an exam EVER.  Am trying to stop myself from freaking out, but thankfully by this time tomorrow I will never have to do chemistry again!  Then one more exam on Monday morning and that's it!  FREEEE-DOMMMMM.  I miss doing the simple things like reading a book or watching television.  I have so many series waiting for me which I've recorded, I HAVE managed to keep up with Desperate Housewives though, except for the very last episode.  Am saving it for when I'm home alone and curled up with a pile of tissues.  I am such a girl sometimes...

La jupe d'orange

DENIM SHIRT & SPIKE BRACELET & QUESTION MARK RING: TOPSHOP | ORANGE MINI SKIRT: VERO MODA via ASOS | SHOES: CONVERSE

Since I saw the sun shining and the reports of a heat wave this week, this is one of the first outfits which I planned.  A bright orange skirt is a great way to make a simple denim shirt that little bit more exciting.  This means that the focus of the outfit is of the course the skirt, especially since I also teamed it with my trusty pair of low-top Converse.  I think it is one of my favourite buys for this summer (how great would it look with a pair of tanned pins?  Which I have a lack of at the moment, but still...) and it makes a very nice change from the usual denim shorts.  This is the only orange item I own, but the colour is what makes it different, especially with the minimal shape, and I love that!  I refuse to wear it with a pair of tights as it looks far too Halloweenish, so I will definitely be making most of it in the sunshine.  Maybe it is a little bit out there, but maybe that's why I'm going to keep wearing it...
I am loving having all of the time off college now as it means I usually have time to blog before a silly time at night, and the sun makes it all that more pleasurable, but I really must get my head down and workworkwork, I only have two exams so maybe I should count myself lucky, but I have never, and probably will never, be one of those people who are naturally clever or gifted at anything except at, er, making myself look nice, so I have to put lots of extra work in.  So on that note, am off to college... more tomorrow!

Le geek, c'est chic!

DINOSAUR TEE, SKIRT, BRACELETS & MOUSTACHE RING: TOPSHOP | NEON SPIKE THROUGH RING: ASOS | SHOES: CONVERSE

This t-shirt is ridiculous on anyone over the age of eight.  But here I am, wearing it again, feeling extra coo-el.  And with the wind being like it is, a bodycon skirt was my only option really.  Well, it could have been jeans, but if you're gonna wear a little boy's tee I suppose you have to show some leg, don't you?  Gotta even it out.  The spike bracelet is a relatively new purchase, am pretty sure it's meant to be a bobble, but I have worn my hair like this for the past god knows how many years (I have a thing about my ears) so I think I'll keep it as a bracelet...
I received my Zara package this morning with two lovely tops in, so hopefully I will be able to picture one of them tomorrow
Well, after my exhausting day of having no college *smug face* am ready for some sitting down time and reading some blogs.  I was hoping to watch Sex and the City double bill but he said making him watch the first episode was 'taking the piss', oh...
P.S. I've put some things on my eBay over the last couple of nights, and I still have more to put up, how do I let it all build up?  Literally, there is a huge pile of clothes on the ironing board.  Anyway, if you're interested in seeing what I have to sell then click here, lots of Topshop as well as River Island, Zara, Asos etc etc.

Skater dress

BLACK BLAZER: H&M | WHITE SKATER DRESS: ASOS | SPIKE BRACELET: TOPSHOP | SHOES: CONVERSE

Okay, so maybe this isn't one of the most elegant outfit posts out there.  And maybe that maybe is a definitely.  But come on, give a girl a break.  I tried, I really did, to try to pull it off, but the wind was simply too much.  As you can see, I was trying hard at the beginning, but I quickly lost my temper (grrr, frowny face, etc.) and got sick of moving my hair back into place, only for it to get blown the wrong way again.
This is my new favourite dress which I've worn three times already and have only had it a week or so, I love the shape, it's fitted on top and floaty and flared on the bottom.  Perfect once the weather gets better (not so perfect for days like today).
No college for me tomorrow, I have lots of revision to do though, which should be a huge barrel of laughs.  Although I am expecting a parcel from Zara tomorrow, so maybe that makes up for it.
