Batman baseball style top: PRIMARK | Grey wool beanie hat: TOPMAN | High waisted leather shorts: TOPSHOP | Shoes: CONVERSE

I don't really shop in Primark, and this is for a number of reasons:

1. Up until I started reading a lot of blogs, I was a clothes snob; I was sticking to Topshop.
2. I'd never been near one until starting uni in Manchester last year, and now I'm back home I'm far away from one again.
3. All the people!  Once I am in public I am one of the most impatient people you could meet.  As soon as I step in Primark I go from 0 - Frustrated in the space of three seconds. WHY ARE YOU STOPPING IN THE MIDDLE OF A STORE FULL OF PEOPLE?  BITCH!  (I'm joking.  Kind of...)

However, things have changed, as here I am in a Primark item!  This is my third item from there actually, I got another piece in the same visit as this one and the first thing I ever bought from them was some pyjama pants (so maybe that doesn't count?).  I had a trip to Manchester the weekend before last for a bloggers' meet up, but after realising at the meet up that an hour had passed and I hadn't had any conversations with anyone, I decided to leave and do what I am good at - shopping!  (I clearly have issues.)
I've realised though that I don't go into Primark unless there's an item(s) which I am specifically looking for.  On this trip there were two - both spotted on Lily - and I just knew I had to have them.  I was doubtful in my search as it took me five times the usual time it takes me to find something (the store is far too big me) but I got there in the end!  I walked out with two pieces of clothing for less than twenty pounds altogether, reminding me of the reason why so many bloggers love it in there.

As a fan of Batman, buying this top for a mere six pounds was definitely something to get excited about.  I think I bought it in a size 16 - the largest they had - as at the time I had no idea if this meant adult sizes or age 16?  But after trying it on I can see it was intended for women, not girls, but I don't mind at all and I wanted it to have that baggy, loose look anyway.
This is my first time wearing it since buying and I knew it'd look great tucked into these very new faux leather shorts, picked up in the sale section of Topshop.  The beanie and the Chucks add to the whole geek chic feel of the look, so I just think that the leather material makes it look slightly more grown up (although not much).  Saying that, though, in summer I will be going all out and teaming this with some denim shorts, probably resulting in me looking like a young child, but I'll werk it.
I felt like a superhero for the whole time wearing this, but unfortunately a short while after taking these photos I spilt sauce down it.  Not exactly a cool, heroic thing to do, huh?

Pyjama Trend

Blue coat: RIVER ISLAND | Black top & stripey pants: ZARA | Grey beanie hat: TOPMAN | Black studded flatform trainers & red lipstick: TOPSHOP

Ever wondered how you'd adapt your pyjama pants to daytime wear?  No, me neither.  But now I know.  Not that these are actual pyjamas (well I hope not or else they were very expensive pyjamas), but that trend's been round for a while now.  Y'know, the one where fashionistas wearing clothes which look exactly like pyjamas outside of the house and somehow making it look cool?  Yeah yeah, that one.  It's not showing any sign of going away either seeing as Marc Jacobs took a bow for his latest Louis Vuitton collection in actual jammies.  I mean, if he's doing it, then I'm doing it, buuut maybe not quite so extreme.  Except for the especially lazy days, maybe then I will.

I haven't tried the trend before, and I wasn't intending to when I saw these pants on Saturday, I just liked them, realising they looked like nightwear came afterwards.  I knew as soon as I saw them that they'd look awesome with these new shoes I got (right before buying the pants, yep) and daaaamn was I right.  I didn't want to wear anything but a simple top to keep the look as casual and effortless as possible, so this loose knit one was the perfect choice.  Add the beanie from Topman and some bright red touches and we've got one cool ass look which I am now obsessed with.  This is the start of something new for my style, I can feel it.
What do you think of these pants, would you?  Or will you be sticking to your jeans?  These ones are definitely a lot more comfortable, I can tell you that much.
I'm finally back blonde, yayyy!  You might not know seeing as the last outfit I posted on here was with my orange hair, but yep, I got it out in the end.  Don't get me wrong, being an orange head was awesome and fun, but if the box says it washes out after a while, then I expect it to wash out, kapeesh?
How've you been?  It's been aaaages since I've properly posted, so a catch up is well needed!  I've been good and am still enjoying my tattooing apprenticeship, make sure you keep me in mind if you're planning on getting a tattoo, wink wink.  You'll be waiting a while mind, but it'll be worth it!

Mesh

Black fishnet t-shirt: H&M | Denim dungarees dress & gold quilted bomber jacket: TOPSHOP | Red 'New York' beanie hat: RIVER ISLAND | Shoes: CONVERSE

How awesome does this dungarees dress look with this top though?  It's like they were made for each other, riiight?  The thing I really like about this top is how the lace covers just the right part, which destroys the whole thing of "Heeeere's MAH BOOBIES" which see-through tops usually have.  I mean it's still a little bit "Heeeere's MAH BELLYBUTTON' but this dress gets rid of that so you don't need to worry about that either.  Sorted.  Saying that I really like how you can see errrrthang around the back.  How cool's that?
I look a little bit like a farmer girl slash toddler in this dress so I always wear things which try and move it as far away from them as possible, and the top and the beanie hat do a perfect job, if I say so myself.  They're cool and edgy and the bomber jacket is the cherry on top of this stylish cake.  My dad said last week that this bomber jacket looks a bit '...Rapperish', which any normal girl would take an insult but I'm ghetto so I'm totally down with that and it's whack.  Dawg.
So I'm writing this at 03:52 on Thursday morning and I am tired, so very tired, but am scheduling a load of posts to keep you guys busy whilst I'm away.  When you're reading this it will be mah birfdayyy.  I won't read them today but I will when I get back so none of you have any excuse to not wish me a happy birthday, unless of course you're not reading this in which case:

OI, YOU, YEAH YOU, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY, THE COMMENTS BOX IS DOWN BELOW.  KFANX.

I can feel your heartbeat through my shirt

Skeleton top: TOPSHOP | Red 'New York' beanie hat: RIVER ISLAND | White fishnet top: FOREVER 21 | Skinny high-waisted jeans: MISSGUIDED | Shoes: CONVERSE

I was kind of experimenting with this outfit but I like it a lot more than I thought I would.  Do you ever do that?  Put an outfit on, look in the mirror and think 'Daaamn why didn't I try this before?', but hey, now I know I can wear it every bloody day.  Y'know, if I wanted to...
This skeleton ribs top is something I'd been looking for for a while before I finally found one, however it isn't the easiest thing to style.  Well, maybe if you're a goff, but I'm not.  Therefore when I wear it I try to balance it out and maybe team it with items which contrast with it.  Hence my decision to wear it with some jeans, less gothic, more casual.  This is the first time wearing the top and the jeans together and I think they go really well together with the top tucked in.  I'm not sure what my intention was when adding the fishnet top but actually it was a bloody good idea.  The beanie hat again contributed to the casual feel as well as giving it an edgy factor.
So there's what I wear on Valentine's Day: a skeleton top.  How very romantic of me.  I still have some sexy underwear on though.  Is anyone gonna see it?  NAH, but why the hell not?!  Makes you feel good, so...
Hope you've all had a lovely day/going to have a lovely night (cough cough) anyway.  This is my first one being single for, what, the past four years?  I'm not bitter though and I ain't a V Day hater, I love seeing a good old loved up couple!  And it's not like I haven't had loads of offers, I have, in fact it's getting a bit overwhelming now.  I mean, give a girl a break!
Yeeeeaaaaaaahhhhh....

We're beautiful like diamonds in the sky

I showed you yesterday the things which I've been buying over the past month, and the first thing I purchased was this floral print tee (which I'm wearing as a dress, obviously).  I featured it on one of my 'Wishful Wednesday' post some weeks ago, when I wasn't actually meant to be spending any money, but you know when you just see something and you think 'I'm gonna pretend, for now, that I'm not gonna buy it, but I know I will end up getting it anyway'?  Well that's what I did with this.  There's something about the colours (and the very reasonable price, for Topshop) which makes it too hard to resist, even more so when it's in the store staring at you, in all of its floral glory.
I think the large print and the black base immediately makes it appropriate for winter and suitable for pairing it with tights, as well as going without them in the summer.  Don't you just love it when you find an item which you can wear all year round?  Before I buy something I always consider whether it will work for all the seasons or not.  The bold, colourful print was practically asking me to pair it with my green beanie hat, immediately creating a contrast which I love.  Because the length is quite short I could also wear it under a skirt, and it looks great with my red Converse, as well as with my blue ones.  I think my bowler hat would be a perfect alternative to my beanie, too.  I can't wait to wear this in lots of different ways!
So university life is going okay.  I live with four other people who seem really nice, and there's lots of lovely, fashionable girls on my course.  Seeing other people with a great sense of style is kind of a big deal to me, as Burnley is full of leggings and, well, that's it, so Manchester is definitely a nice change in that respect.  The weather has been absolutely rubbish with non-stop rain for the past couple of days, but it's finally brightening up today and it feels like I haven't seen dry ground in about a week.  I think I'm going home this weekend again, but I'll be sleeping on the sofa as my lovely brother has pinched my room.
The bloody cheek of it.
Oh, and have you heard Rihanna's new single 'Diamonds'?  I've been waiting for its release ever since I heard she was releasing a new album, and I can safely say after the first ten seconds of listening to it I knew I was going to love it.  I have had it on repeat since yesterday, and the lyrics are beautiful.  God, I hope I get to see her on tour next year!

So what?

BLUE BEANIE HAT: TOPMAN | BLACK BLAZER: H&M | BLACK MAXI/MIDI DRESS: TOPSHOP | SHOES: CONVERSE

So I haven't really worn something like this before, which is one reason why I really like this outfit.  I think it's so important to experiment with things in fashion, and a lot of people might think this outfit doesn't look right on paper, but so what?  With style icons like Audrey, Rihanna and Anna Dello Russo I think it's important that your outfits make people look and notice what you're wearing.  Fitting in isn't something which I really care about when choosing what to wear, more standing out.  I'm hardly wearing a cherry on my head, but I'm definitely learning to get the hell out of my comfort zone and have fun.
