My blog's first birthday!

So I published my first post on this blog one year ago today, crazy!  I had been planning for a while to start a blog, finally got my camera last Christmas and then couldn't wait to get stuck in, and I have continued sticking at it nearly every day since.  Starting a blog has, without doubt, been one of the best things I've ever done.  It's hard to explain... But it's just great to have something which you can focus on, which you can contribute to as much or as little too as you want.  My almost-daily blogs have been conducted by self-discipline and opportunity, so I've done it on days when I've not been busy as well as the days that haven't, which I think I should be really proud of myself of.  As a Pisces I spend a lot of my time in my own world so I definitely enjoy forms of escapism, which my blog definitely has been.
I want to thank you all so much, the old readers, the new readers, the ones who take time to actually read my posts, the ones who comment, the ones who comment on nearly every single post (I know who you are!).  A lot of you say such lovely things, I think it's amazing how people can be so genuinely kind without having even met a person.  So I just want to say a huuuge thank you to you all and you make the time and effort I put into this blog even more worthwhile.
My blog has just been an amazing thing in my life and has given me a few great opportunities, and I can't wait to continue it next year.

Wishful Wednesday

1. Black embroidered mesh skirt £40 MISS SELFRIDGE | 2. Studded biker boots £75 RIVER ISLAND via ASOS |
3.
Burnout letter tee £22 TOPSHOP | 4. Textured grunge neon snood £16 TOPSHOP |
5.
Contrast floral print tee £32 TOPSHOP | 6. ACDC baseball tee £35 URBAN OUTFITTERS |
7.
Claw stone ring £5 TOPSHOP

I think this is my favourite 'Wishful Wednesday' posts in quite a while.  I don't just like each thing on here, I really, really like them.  Apparently I'm going through a little bit of a black phase, but I'm okay with that, because I think this letter top and the sheer skirt would be the perfect additions to my wardrobe.  I think the tee would look amaaaazing with a pair of skinnies, coloured or black.  Oh DAMN YOU spending ban, DAMN YOU.  The skirt would look perfect contrasted with a pair of my Converse.
I find it quite hard to come across the perfect biker boot, but every now and then one pops up, and the latest pair to catch my eyes is this one - the length, the studs, the buckles - yes, yes yes.
This snood is such a great piece and and I want it, I want it, I want it.  The colour is goooorgeous and I would wear it always, cold or not.  Yep.
This mixed print t-shirt is possibly my favourite item from all of these.  I think the print look so good against each other and it's not an item of clothing you see everyday.  Again, spending ban - I hate you.
I have been after a baseball tee for sooooo long with a print on the chest but apparently that task is impossible, until now suckaaah!  And what better print to have than ACDC?  I love this, I don't love the price.  Hmph.

Please excuse my moaning - I haven't gone shopping in a really long time (for me) and finding it quite hard to get used to... Oh god, I can't stop *slaps own wrist*.

Kiss

Kiss band tee: ZARA | Khaki beanie hat: ASOS | Skinny leather trousers & chunky boyfriend watch: RIVER ISLAND | Shoes: CONVERSE via AMAZON

Oh hi awesome new top.  My mum got me this for Christmas and today is my first time wearing it.  I mentioned in one of my recent posts that I can't put my style into a particular category, but this year I do want to experiment more with cool, grungy looks - so what better way to start than with a band tee?  I'm gonna throw my hands up and say I'm not one of these people who throws a hissy fit when someone is wearing a band tee without actually listening to the band, what I do know is they're stupidly rock'n'roll and Gene Simmons seems like a pretty awesome guy, so that's all I need.  I do promise to listen to some of their stuff as some point though as I like to give everyone a try.  I mean, they might make songs which suit my music taste and I don't even know it.  I've recently been trying to get into The Rolling Stones because I love their new song/video - but I don't seem to like any of their old stuff.  No one tell my brother, though, he might get a little defensive.
There was no doubt in my mind about what I'd wear it with first, my hands went straight for the leather pants.  All I need now is some black and white paint on my face and I'm practically as rock'n'roll as they are... Right?  I debated adding some red lipstick but decided to go with the khaki hat instead, maybe I could have done both but I wasn't sure so I left it.  I think the beanie gives the look a bit more of the grunge which I was looking for and also adds a nice contrast of colour to the outfit.  It makes a nice change from wearing my go-to pompom hats, too.
I really like this outfit and think it's a great way to start the new year.  I hope to invest in more band tops in the future.  I hope you all had a great night last night, I probably don't need to tell you about mine as I put some pictures up of it at about half four this morning, but after looking at my Twitter today apparently I'm one of the few people who aren't hungover.
My average bed time at the moment is six o' clock (yes, in the morning) which isn't great, so I don't know how I'm going to do it but I am determined to wake up early tomorrow so I can film a video.  Like I've mentioned before I really want to start a Youtube channel and sooner rather than later, so I'll have to see how that goes.
Hope you're having a nice day!

December recap

This month has been the month of no shopping.  I've got a huge overdraft to pay off due to past shopping trips, which means no shopping, no spending Christmas money, no sales bargains - nothing.  And you know what?  I've done a bloody good job.  If you'd told me a couple of weeks ago that I'd be resisting the sales this year, I would have laughed in your face, but I've even proved myself wrong and stayed away.  You don't know what a shopping addiction is until you've seen my overdraft, and I'm not saying I'm cured as being away from Manchester has probably been a huge help, but maybe I'll be a bit more sensible now though.  Much more easier said than done, but we'll see.
Despite this I still have a wide variety of outfits to wear in my wardrobe that have kept me satisfied.  As long as I still have new combinations to explore I'm okay.
My favourite outfit from the last month is definitely the all-black look with the skull top and the faux fur gilet.  Do you have one?
Happy January!

HAPPY NEW YEAR BITCHEZ.

Champagne makes my face tingle.

So one of my resolutions, which you can find in yesterday's post, was to 'Take pictures of random shit' which is what I've been doing since midnight.  We didn't do anything out of the ordinary, bucks fizz and some party poppers is all we needed.
Happy new year guys!
