Sports luxe

Gold quilted bomber jacket, oversized jersey tee & black studded flatforms trainers: TOPSHOP | Black skinny leather pants: RIVER ISLAND

I've always said I can't fit my style into one category and that I would adopt completely different style personalities each day, however, after all these years, I think I'm finally learning what I like.  I'm not saying if you asked me to describe my style I could give you a three-worded answer, but I'm realising that there's certain looks which I am swayed towards more than others.  Maybe you've noticed as well if you've been a reader of my blog for a while?  I like grungy, I like sporty casual, and I like androgyous.  Well... at least I've narrowed it down?
Don't get me wrong, I love a dress as much as the next girl and wearing one makes me feel great, but an outfit like the one I'm wearing today is becoming my go-to.  I've also been on quite the shopping spree over the last week or so, and I've bought much more out-there, statement pieces than I usually would.  This is a new start for my style y'all, so watch this space!

This top is one of my newest purchases, if you haven't already noticed it's the black version of the white t-shirt which I bought a couple of months ago and I happen to be a bit obsessed with.  I'm also waiting for the blue one to come into stock so I can snap that one up as well...  I'm reeeeeeally digging these flatforms which I also bought very recently, and I want them in every colour too.  Please.

New boyfriend tee

Sporty tee: TOPSHOP (£20)

So I purhcased this top on Sunday and could not wait to show it on my blog!  As soon as I saw it I thought 'Oh my goshhhhhh that is mine!'.  No hesitation.  None.  I don't have anything like this but it is right up my street.  I really like how it's so oversized, and after putting it on I immediately thought 'this looks like I've just got out of a guy's bed and put his shirt on', which, erm, never happens, but it's still a look I like!  One can still pretend...
It's super comfy and not flattering at all but frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.  I'd balance it out anyway and wear tight on the bottom, such as my black leather skinnies.  Add my Chucks and some red lipstick and you've pretty much got my ideal outfit.    I think it'd be really cool to wear it as a dress in the summer, since it's long enough, but seeing as it's a teensy little bit see through it'll probably be safer to go with my blak denim shorts underneath.  Y'know, just in case.  It's a good job sports luxe is a trend ever summer, because I will be fully embracing it this year.
What do you think of my new tee?  It went down pretty well on Instagram and, well, I JUST BLOODY LOVE IT.
P.S. I apologise for the ridiculous slippers, I just had to get them in...

Wishful wednesday

Two trends which I am clearly obsessed with this season: the peplum and sports luxe, which actually surprises even me because I expected myself to completely avoid that trend despite my growing Converse collection, but after seeing some bloggers carrying it off perfectly I can say that I've been converted.
