1. I looove the colour.  The zips add the perfect touch.
2. I don't own a midi skirts but this baby... Well, I'm a convert.  With a big jumper in the winter?  Yeah.  I see it.
3. This is way out of my price range for one single dress but that doesn't stop it being any less lush.  The colour matches the pattern amazingly, and the pleated detail just makes it even better.
4. I've seen this in the actual shop and I keep 'ooh'ing and 'aah'ing over it.  Perfect with a simple tee.
5.  It's ridiculously big.  'Nuff said.
6.  Ohhhh I love the colours.  And I really love the print.  Just yeah, fashgasm.
7. I've only been able to admire lace tops from afar as I don't like the 'ohhh look at my BOOBS because this top is SEE THROUGH. YEAH' look.  But I FINALLY found a plain black triangle bra to go under items like this (thanks to someone on Twitter!) which wouldn't be too in-your-face.

Mint was predicted months and months ago to be one of this season's hottest colours, which it definitely is, so these jeans are actually a few months old (what can I say, I am like, totatally ahead of the times).  I don't wear them very often simply because it is a little tricky to decide which shoes to wear with them, mainly because 95% of my shoe collection are Converse in every colour but white, but I had a little light bulb moment when I remembered that I have these leopard print slippers.  It really bugs me when my outfits are TOO matchy-matchy so rather than wearing a white shoe I actually like how these look with the outfit much more.  I think my silver flatforms would have looked pretty amazing with this outfit, but alas they do not fit, so I have been banned from wearing them again.  I really want to buy them in a size up but ASOS haven't given out a discount code in ages when they used to offer a new one every week.  Typical.  I know if I give in and buy them for full price, though, that the next morning they will send out an email offering something like 50% off.  Well I am so not falling for it, not this time...
I am digging pastels this season so these jeans are perfect for not-so-hot summer days, and their relatively stretchy material makes them a lot comfier than some of the other jeans which I own, b-b-b-bonus.  I really like how they're high-waisted as well so I can tuck a top into them if I wish.  The bird print shirt is something which I bought late last year, I fell in love with the print straight away and is different to any other print which I have seen so I couldn't resist buying, and how glad I am that I didn't!
I have spent the whole day studying for my exam tomorrow morning, and I can safely say I have never been this unprepared for an exam EVER.  Am trying to stop myself from freaking out, but thankfully by this time tomorrow I will never have to do chemistry again!  Then one more exam on Monday morning and that's it!  FREEEE-DOMMMMM.  I miss doing the simple things like reading a book or watching television.  I have so many series waiting for me which I've recorded, I HAVE managed to keep up with Desperate Housewives though, except for the very last episode.  Am saving it for when I'm home alone and curled up with a pile of tissues.  I am such a girl sometimes...

It's a boy girl thing

Sometimes I feel like throwing a lace dress on or some pretty pastel colours, but I always like to add a little sumthin'-sumthin' to my outfits to give it a little edge.  Yes, I might wear bright pink jeans with an equally girlie floral shirt, but I'll always 'man it up' a bit with a pair of Converse and my sleeves rolled up.  I don't like to be too matchy-matchy.  I manned it up quite a lot with this look, as I intended, but I stayed away from the Converse and instead chose some flats, which are a little more ladylike, and bright red nails.  There's something about a suit - whether it's a trouser, short or skirt one - that makes your outfit say 'I'm not dressing for men, I'm dressing for me'.  Androgynous fashion is something which some women stay well away from, but I love it, I'd definitely be more drawn to a women dressed in an oversized shirt and a boyfriend blazer than a girl in a disty floral dress and ballet flats.  Basically if I saw Tilda Swinton and Taylor Swift walking down the street (it could happen...), I know who I would be looking at more.  I'm not saying being a girlie-girl is a bad thing, no no no, women have their own style and they know what they look good in, but there is something which I find SO EFFING COOL about Lisbeth Salander (or Rooney Mara) in 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' with her bleached eyebrows and dark eye make-up. 
Perhaps I'm a closet lesbian... Maybe I should go and paint my nails or something.

Faux fur in the summer

I cannot believe I have to wear faux fur in JUNE, but hey ho, it is an amazing coat so I guess it ain't all bad.  It's not so great for winter weather as it's quite thin and doesn't do a great job of wrapping you up, although it's the perfect coat for days like today when it's not as cold but it definitely isn't warm either.  A relatively simple outfit today, but I think the outfit makes it look like I put much more effort into getting dressed and ready than I actually did, which can only be a good thing.  When wearing an outfit like this I usually stay well away from my Converse as I feel it shouldn't be too casual, youknowwhatimeanbruv?  I'm not sure if I can pull off buttoned up shirts as my breasticles might be a bit too big for one and end up making it look a little silly, but this is one of my staple pieces in my wardrobe so even if that is the case, am probably gonna wear it anyway...
Luckily I have the week off college this week, so me and Sam are going to the cinema tomorrow to watch Snow White (if he promises not to complain about the film/Kristen Stewart during any moment of the film) so that should be funsies!  I will also be nipping in the book shop to buy this month's issue of Esquire magazine simply for the Rihanna interview/pictures in it, DON'T JUDGE MEH.

I have been wanting to pair these two items together ever since I purchased the skirt last week but haven't really had the chance, but since the sun was slightly shining and it hasn't been as freeze-your-boobies-off-cold as it usually is, I thought today would be the perfect day.  I have vowed to step away from bodycon skirts and wear skirts in other shapes which is one reason why I bought this one, I also love the colour.  A summer-appropriate jumper is quickly becoming a staple piece in my wadrobe, I think this would look so good with a pair of denim cut-offs or some white skinny jeans.
In other news, I found out yesterday that my mum has booked me in for a tattoo for Saturday, after she read this post the other day, so I am really excited for that (the tattoo, not the process of getting one...) as I've been hoping to get one ever since my eighteenth.  I'll definitely be putting a picture up on Saturday/Sunday to show you, 'cause you're obviously all as excited as me, yes...?
Another thing I'm looking forward to is the release of Snow White and the Huntsman, it looks like a really good movie, and I've got a bit of a soft spot for Kristen Stewart.  And I think Charlize Theron is pretty awesome.  Will you be seeing it?

Floaty dress + lots of wind = trying (and miserably failing) to look as elegant and flirtatious as Marilyn Monroe did.  Just a simple outfit for a pretty simple day (I only had an hour and a half at college, brag brag brag).  The light colours of the outfit with the black tights isn't a combination I wear very often, but is definitely an interesting one.  These are the type of things which I wear when I want the sunshine and the summer temperatures (come on, it IS the middle of May, after all) but simply can't have them, so I have to throw on a big chunky knit and a pair of tights.  What's a girl to do?
This is my dress, which am wearing as more of a skirt today, which I bought in the ASOS sale a few weeks ago.  I also received a package off them yesterday morning so that will hopefully feature on the bloggy woggy once the rain stops.  The jumper I've had for a while and I have it on a looooot of the time.  I can't resist it's comfy softness.  I did pay at least forty pounds for it though so I have still got to wear it all the time for another year or so until it becomes worth it.
I'm in the process of applying for accommodation at Manchester University which is where I will hopefully be going this September.  It's quite to scary to think that this time in a few months I could be living in a completely different place and studying in a completely different environment, especially when I still rely on my mum for pretty much everything other than making my bed... Quite a few bloggers who I follow are just finishing university, which seems to be a very stressful time what with deadlines and what not.  It's exciting too, though.  I am itching, ITCHING, to get stuck into the wonderful world of fashion.  Fingers crossed.
